European Junior Curling Tour - Oslo 2017

12Girls teams and 12Boys teams
Girls and boys teams will play in separate tournamentsas follows:
The Tournament is played according to the World Curling Federation rules and applying the
four-rock rule. All matches are played over 8 ends with an extra end if necessary. If no points
are scored in the extra end the teams will play one shot to the button for the match.
The teams will play a round robin in 2 groups of 6 teams, and the three highest ranked teams in each group are qualified for the play off. Thenumber of wins and internal resultswill decide the ranking. If unable to separateteams using this method theaverage of LSD results will be used. In case of elimination from the tournament one round of tie-breaker games will be played according to WCF rules.
The second ranked team from one group plays the third ranked team from the other group in 2 quarterfinals, and the winners play the first ranked team from the group including the third ranked team in the semifinals.
The loosing teams in the quarterfinals are ranked according to the LSD results only.
The loosing teams in the semifinals will play a match for third position.
Prize money will be awarded to the 4 teams reaching the play off, with a total purse of NOK 25.000,- for each group as follows:
1st 10.000,-10points
2nd 7.500,-8points
3rd5.000,-6points
4th2.500,-5points
5th4points
6th3points
7-121point
To win the EJCT a team have to play at least two of the tournaments that season, and the team with most points is the winner of the tour. LSD average result recorded from all events will be used to separate the teams. The winnersof the junior tour season will be invited to play at selected WCT-E events next season.
The entry fee is NOK 2.000,- pr. team, and will include all meals,including banquet Saturday evening.

Accommodation at Radisson Blu Park Hotel at very special rates. The hotel is located within walking distance from the curling rink.Express trains with departure every 20 minutes takes you from GardemoenAirportto Lysaker near by the the hotel in 30 minutes.
Free shuttle service will be available between the train station, the hotel and the curling arena.
The organizing committee reserves the right to change the format depending of the number of entries.
