Cyber Bullying

Episode 1, “Solving Cyber Bullying Mysteries” the award winning film about three friends who try to help a classmate who’s been cyber bullied

Online Predators (Coming in Fall, 2008)

Episode 2, “The Case of the Online Relationship,” the sequel about four friends who try to find out if Ally’s online boyfriend is who he says he is.

Plagiarism/Cheating (Coming in Fall, 2008)

Episode3, “The Case of the Plagiarized Paper,” in this who-done-it, the club investigates four term papers to find out who plagiarized their paper.

Screening of Episode 1 & Episode 2. Requires a minimum of 1 and a half hours

Debbie Heimowitz (director, producer) holds a Master's Degree in "Learning, Design & Technology" from Stanford University, as well as a BA in Film from UC Berkeley. Debbie spent four years leading educational filmmaking workshops in inner-city classrooms as part of the Artsbridge America Program before moving to Los Angeles to work in the Film & Television industry. After working with companies such as Disney Channel, NBC Universal, and Warner Brothers Films, she returned to the Bay Area to pursue her passion for children's educational media and created Adina's Deck. Debbie and Jason have had the privilege of presenting at schools and conferences nationally. Notable presentation include: The California League of Middle Schools, Stanford University, Chapman University, Apple Computer, eBay, and the Girl Scouts of the USA.

Jason Azicri (director, writer)holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and is currently pursuing a Counseling Psychology/MFT Master's at Santa Clara University. Jason was a teacher in Miami, specializing in Special Needs Health and Physical Education, before relocating to CA to pursue a screenwriting career. Jason's script, "Lost Weekend" was a finalist in the Writer's Place Screenwriting Contest and a semi-finalist in the WriteMovies Screening Contest. He also wrote and directed the Independent film "The Sofa," prior to collaborating on Adina's Deck. Debbie and Jason created Adina's Deck because they believe young people need more empowering messages and positive portrayals of young teens in film and television.
