Southern Regional Medical Command West Regional Trials (SRMC)
Texas Regional Games is excited to be the host for the SRMC West Regional Trials for track, field, archery, air guns and swimming. The SRMC event is the Western Regional qualifier for the Army’s wounded service members trying to qualify for the 2014 Warrior Games Army Team.
Registration– MANDATORY / No Exceptions!!!!!!
Every registered athlete must come through registration. If you have never been classified for Archery, Track/Field, and Swimming; then you will need to go through classification as well (classification appointment is required).
*Note: You only have to go through registration once for all events within the Games. Registration is available at all classification times (exception is swimming, athletes will have to go to 2 different locations for swimming classification and event registration). If you need to be classified in track/field, archery or swimming there is an appointment schedule for classification and you will have to attend at the designated time to get classified in each of your competition sports.
Classification
We are requiring classification appointments this year for track/field, archery and swimming. So if you have not gone to the classification appointment tab on the games website, you need to do that ASAP. For questions on classification, please contact: .
Note: Archery athletes have a medical form that needs to be filled out and brought with you. You should have that form in your email from Darlene.
Note: Swimmers: you must have your swimsuit for swimming classification.

Note: Swimmers still need to go through registration at the Holiday Inn and Suites, Northwest.
*There is no classification appointments required for Boccia, Air Guns or Powerlifting – registration for these sports can be done on Thursday or Friday.

The full Texas Regional Games schedule is attached. It has been revised. Please look closely and make sure you note the new times for your events. We encourage you to check the website, the day prior to your competition for any last minute changes or announcements. Detailed track scheduled with estimated event times will be posted on 4/10.

Breakfast: For all hotel guest, that meal is provided complimentary at the hotel restaurant each day.

Water and Replenishment Snacks
Water and snacks are being provided for athletes and volunteers. These refreshments and replenishment items are provided for athletes, volunteers, staff, and officials only and will be located at each venue.
Awards
Medals will be given for each sport.
Air Guns, Archery, Boccia, and Powerlifting: A simple awards Ceremony will take place immediately following the completion of the sport competition.
Track, Field and Swimming: An awards table will be set-up at the venue and the awards will be available for each athlete to receive after each event (give 15 min. for results to get to awards table). Please make sure you go by and pick-up your awards, we will not be mailing awards out after the event.
First Aid
There will be a first aid station (hosted by the UT Health Science Center) at the UTSA Park West Athletic Complex on Friday and Saturday and then at the Central Catholic High School (Air Guns) on Sunday.
Event Command Center:
Room 140 on the first floor of the Holiday inn and Suites will be set-up as a command center.
The schedule will be something like this:
Wed. 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Thurs. 7:00 am – 10:00 pm
Friday: 7:00 am – 10:00 pm
Saturday: All Staff will be at the venues or available by cell phone (listed above).
Sunday: All Staff will be at the venues or available by cell phone (listed above).
During Competitions: We will have an event information table and volunteer registration table set-up at each sport venue.
Archery Clinic – Friday, April 11th
The Archery clinic is free and open to anyone wanting to come and learn from U.S. Paralympic Coaches.

6:30-7:30 pm Gateway to Gold! The Road to a USA National Team
Meet 4 amazing Paralympic athletes, who will share their stories of success and what Paralympic sports did to change their lives. Kallie Quinn, U.S. Paralympics’ Director of Emerging Athletes, will share information on getting into the Paralympic Pipeline and how to set yourself up to qualify for a USA National Team.
7:30-8:30 pmUpdate on UIL Adapted Sports Opportunities in Texas
Texas UIL is supporting athletes with physical disabilities on their High School Track and Field Teams. Be in the know and be ready to have your child take advantage of the amazing opportunities developing in Texas.
Transportation
Airport Pick-up (Athlete and Staff)
Make sure you have sent your flight information to Lindsay French – . You should receive a confirmation of your airport pickup time in an email from Lindsay French. The driver will be at the baggage claim area to pick you up at the designated time (some pick-ups are grouping a few pick-ups together, so a short wait time is required). For any flight delays, etc… call or text Lindsay 713-540-1615 or Peggy 832-567-4832.
Venue Transportation
Upon arrival, Lindsay and Peggy will give you a venue transportation schedule for access between the hotel and the venues. The out of town transportation is for competition purposes only, please do not ask the drivers to take you on errands. Most anything you will need is within walking distance of the hotel. We will do our best to meet your venue transportation needs, but please note that transportation is limited so please be patient.
Equipment Transport:We will transport track and field equipment from the hotel to the UTSA Stadium on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning for out of town guest needing transport. Upon registration to hotel, please bring your competition equipment to the Games Operations Office. It will be taken to the venue for you. It will be locked in a secure space at the venue. Equipment will be returned to the hotel lobby on Saturday evening after competition. It is your responsibility to come and retrieve your equipment.
Equipment / Equipment Repair
Be sure to bring all of the equipment that you will need for competition (racing chairs, gloves, bows, arrows, air-guns, etc.).
AmericanMedical & Rehab (WC Repair): There will be a WC repair station set-up in the track stadium. They will have a very limited supply of tubes, but will do their best to get you rolling again.
UTHSC: There will be UTHSC professionals available at the track stadium to assist you with your prosthetic legs / arms if needed. They will be at the First Aid Station.
