Wheelchair users were unable to access the Temple Precinct / The Temple Precinct is now step free with a wider walkway. Four liftsnow enable wheelchair users to go round the museum in the same direction as everyone else with 90% accessible
You found it confusing to navigate the site / New directional arrows have been added throughout; a leaflet with plans of the route for wheelchair users has been updated and clearer operational signs have been put up by each lift
People with limited mobility requested mobile seat sticks to perch on during the visit / We have purchased some walking stick tripod seats to borrow during the visit
You requested more audio guide languages / Korean, Portuguese, Dutch and Polish languages are being added to the 8 audio guide languages already available
Some visitors wanted to be able to use headphones to listen to the audio tour / Brand new audio guides were introduced in February with a universal jack point for headphones and ear pieces
Visually impaired visitors wanted a more descriptive commentary / A detailed descriptive audio commentary is now available; just ask at the issue desk. Tactile maps, models and signage have also been introduced throughout the site. A British Sign Language tour is also available using the Opus Touch hand held device as well as a large print script
You wanted to be able to get married beside the Great Bath later in the evening / A unique “Sunset Wedding” ceremony and reception package can now be booked for the evening
You wanted more information about the mineral composition of the hot spa water / A detailed breakdown of the minerals is now displayed by the self-serve spa water fountain in the museum. Visitors can now touch and drink this natural hot waterat no extra cost
You said the ladies toilets at the exit stairs were looking tired and dated / These toilets were refurbished in 2015 and the ladies toilets at the entrance had new flooring laid in the autumn as part of a programme of improvements
You wanted better hand dryers in the toilets / All of the hand dryers in the toilets are now high speed, efficient dryers
