Job Title: TLP-Shelter Operations Manager

Salary; Exempt Status

Position:

Implement the responsibilities of overseeing staffing supervision and budgetary needs as a fundamental part of the Transitional Living Program team while reporting directly to Sr. Director of Programs.

Responsibilities

·  Hiring of TLP direct care staff working directly with the residential clients.

§  Conducting orientation (first 90-day), semi-annual and annual reviews

§  Managing all staff schedule while continuing to program guidelines and policy

§  Maintain all direct care staff files per program guidelines, policy and agency HR policy

·  Training for TLP direct care staff-maintain per program guidelines and policy

§  Implementing new hire training

§  Implementing continued education training

§  Maintaining all TLP direct care staff trainings

§  Maintain any trainer certification needed to conduct necessary trainings for staff

·  Monitoring all TLP direct care staff clocked hours entered into Paylocity system including tracking PTO and holidays

§  Observing and working with staff and any shift leads to ensure appropriate supervision and care is provided to residents in accordance with program guidelines and policy

§  Conducting all disciplinary actions with final approval of direct supervisor

§  Completing all staffing week and weekend updates including resident updates and staff working

·  Assisting in overseeing and planning volunteer groups

§  Working with Director of Volunteers to manage work groups and needs for work groups

§  Coordinating all household needs with volunteer maintenance workers

§  Coordinate all meal delivery from volunteers for all homes

·  Overseeing the use of all client program transactions including petty cash, credit card, and gift cards while coding and inputting them into spreadsheet

§  Code and turn in monthly receipts for all Wal-Mart/Sam’s, Valero, Credit/Debit card, and other

§  Supervise all coding for gift-cards and gift-card transactions

§  Code and manage all program petty cash flow

§  Managing program budget based on program needs and cost

·  Maintain all household maintenance needs and vehicle needs per program annual budget

§  Track all household repairs and cost on monthly tracking sheet

§  Have all household cost over $500 receive multiple quotes and approval from direct supervisor

§  Manage all annual and semi-annual maintenance checks including but not limited to insect check, lawn maintenance, A/C, electric, plumbing, etc.

§  Oversee and track all vehicle maintenance and registrations

§  Ensure all household needs meet program guidelines and policy

§  Maintaining all annual and semi-annual inspections and drills including but not limited to fire and weather drills, playground inspections, health inspection, and fire and gas inspection

·  Participates as a member of the interdisciplinary program team to meet overall needs of program including participating in TLP and agency staffing

§  Have general knowledge and understanding of basic needs at-risk youth ages 18-21 yrs old

§  Knowledge and experience working with at-risk youth ages 18-21 yrs

·  Working with the City House leadership team to uphold the overall mission of City House Inc.

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

·  Bachelor's Degree in social work (or related field) and minimum of two year experience in leadership role with management/supervisory experience in a residential setting OR Master’s Degree in social work (or related field) and one year experience in leadership role with management/supervisory experience in a residential setting

·  Minimum of two years of experience working with children in a residential setting with at risk youth/young adult or related experience.

·  Knowledge of issues related to young adult homelessness, abuse and neglect

·  Preferred experience maintaining a multi-level budget.

·  Effective communication skills, both oral and written. Effective organizational skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public as well as volunteers.

·  Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.

·  Valid Texas driver's license and insurance and be at least 21 years of age.

·  CPR ,First Aid and Emergency Behavior Intervention certification must be current, or obtained within 60 days of hire and maintained as required.
