How Important is Your ACT Score?

Before we embark our journey into the ACT, it is important for you to recognize exactly how important the ACT is to your future. Below you will find a series of college and university websites that you will need to visit. At each website, you will be required to answer a couple of questions regarding that institutions ACT score requirement! You may either answer the questions in this Microsoft Word document or a new Microsoft Word document. Once you have completed the assignment you will need to turn in the assignment.

Visit www.uofl.edu and answer the following questions. You will need to navigate around U of L’s website, specifically any tab that says “Admissions”, “Admission Requirements, or “Application Requirements”

1.  Do you have to submit your ACT score to U of L upon applying to the school?

2.  What is the minimum ACT score for a student classified as “Visiting High School Student”?

Visit www.jefferson.kctcs.edu and answer the following questions. You will need to navigate around JCC’s website, specifically any tab that says “Admissions”, “Admission Requirements, “Application Requirements”, or “How to Apply”.

3.  What is the minimum ACT English score you can receive without having to take a separate standardized test, called the Compass, strictly for JCC?

4.  What is the minimum ACT Reading score you can receive without having to take a separate standardized test, called the Compass, strictly for JCC?

5.  What is the minimum ACT Math score you can receive without having to take a separate standardized test, called the Compass, strictly for JCC?

Visit www.wku.edu and answer the following questions. You will need to navigate around WKU’s website, specifically any tab that says “Admissions”, “Admission Requirements, or “Incoming Freshman”.

6.  In order to receive full admission into WKU, what are the three requirements? (Hint: It is in a chart).

7.  In order to receive directed admission into WKU, what are the three requirements? (Hint: It is in the same chart as question number 1).
