q Dr. Martin Herman also co-authored a chapter on “Infant Crying” for Clinics in Emergency Medicine.
q Dr. Herman was co-author in a multicenter trial by Nigrovic LE et al. published in JAMA. 2007; 297:52-60 investigating a clinical prediction rule for identifying children with CSF pleocytosis at low risk for bacterial meningitis.
q Dr. Martin Herman was the author of four textbook chapters this year. In Pediatric Emergency Medicine, he wrote chapters on “Testicular Torsion and Movement Disorders.” In ePediatrics, he and Beth Paton, PNP rewrote chapters on “Vagina Atresia and Imperforate Hymen.” Also in ePediatrics, he co-authored revisions on “Mushroom Poisoning: Ibotenic Acid and Muscimol and Mushroom Poisoning: Muscarine.” Also, in EMedicine, he co-authored a chapter on “Pediatric Limp”
q Dr. Gilmore co-authored a review article in the January 2007 issue of Pediatric Emergency Medicine Practice on “Use of Bedside Ultrasound In the Pediatric ED.”
