LITTLE LEAGUE
It’s time for Carsonville Lions Recreation Baseball League sign up. Children must be seven years old by May 1st to play Pee Wee and ten years old by May 1st to play Little League. Those turning 14 by May 1st cannot play. Cost is $25 for one child, $44 for two children and $60 for a family.

TLC
Registration for summer TLC is now open. We will be running 5 days per week from 6 AM to 6 PM. Call Jody at 657-9593 to register or ask questions.
SPORTS PHYSICALS
Physicals will be May 28th at the McKenzie Memorial Hospital from 6-7:30. Cost is $15. This applies to the sixth graders who plan to play Junior High sports. You must have a physical to participate in sports next year.
MOVIE NIGHT
Mrs. Erbe will be hosting another movie night at the Firebird Theatre in Sandusky on Thursday, May 22, at 6:30 PM. The movie will be Alvin and the Chipmunks. Tickets will go on sell during lunch on May 19 for $4 each. Tickets can also be purchased at the door that night. Proceeds will go to the new library furniture.
FIELD TRIP SEASON
Every grade will have a field trip in the next month. Please remember all persons who wish to chaperone must be cleared. Pick up the form in the school office at least at week in advance of the trip. Persons who have not received clearance are not permitted to be with the students.
KOHL’S VOLUNTEER
Miss Spangenberg applied to Kohl’s for an employee community service grant and was selected. She designated CPS Elementary as her choice for the Kohl’s volunteers. They will work in our library doing the end of year inventory. Thank you, Kohl’s and Miss Spangenberg.
RELAY FOR LIFE
Mrs. Bartley will be selling $1 candy bars and suckers for Relay for Life on Mondays at the school store and Friday at the end of the school day.
BANKING
The school bank day will be on Tuesday, May 13th.
BAND CONCERT
Plan to attend our 5th and 6th grade band concert on Wednesday, May 14th, at 7:00 at the High School.

POPCORN
The PTA popcorn sale will be held on Friday, May 16. Popcorn will be 25¢ a bag.
CAMP NEWS
CPS Elementary will move to Camp Ozanam on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday - June 9, 10, and 11. The last day will be a 1/2 day. We always need a lot of volunteers at camp. If you can help, please give us a call at 657-9318. On June 11 the students will be treated to a lunch by the PTA. Parents are asked to send in a dessert. Watermelon is very popular as are cookies. Please send them in a disposable container on June 11th.
YEARBOOKS
We have a few extra yearbooks available for $8 each. They can be purchased in the school office.

GOLD
The PTA is sponsoring a Gold Party on Saturday, May 17, from 9-12 noon in the CPS Elementary Library. Bring your unwanted, outdated gold jewelry, and be generously paid for it. Gold is selling at very high prices. Turn your gold into cash.
