What is MSAP?
- System-wide management development program, providing selected participants with objective assessment of skills critical to successful management at UC.
- Highly acclaimed program bringing together experienced and respected UC managers to assess aspiring and new managers in intensive residential program.
- Program sponsored by Office of the President, aligned with management development and retention strategies recommended in University of California New Business Architecture.
Program Highlights?
- Residential program for 48 participants (assessees) from 8 Northern CA campuses, labs and medical centers.
- Assessees demonstrate management skills in variety of work simulations and gain specific information & feedback on skills needed for effective UC management.
- Assessees gain personal knowledge and insight to help them create a career development plan and make prudent career decisions.
- Experienced UC managers, serving as assessors, offer objective behavioral feedback on assessees' performance in variety work-simulated activities.
When/Where will MSAP be held?
- Residential program: Asilomar Conference Center, Pacific Grove, CA, April29– May 3, 2013 (for assessors), April 30 – May 3, 2013 (for assesses).
- Orientation is required
What will MSAP cost?
- Assessees: $900registration fee (departmental recharge fee) which covers tuition, single room, and board. Travel to and from site to be reimbursed by UC Merced sponsoring department
- Assessors: No Fee. Travel to and from site to be paid by UC Merced sponsoring department
