Q 8: Are there any food serving businesses located in any of the buildings that provide their own pest management?
A 8: No
Q 9: What was the total annual amount paid for these services during the most recent 12 month period?
A 9: Our contract amount: $11,760.00 was paid through the contract period which ended 11/17/09. We have only called for pest control as needed in the various buildings since the contract expired.
Q 10: Page 15 & 16 refer to materials that can be used, Baygon,Ficam and Resmethrin. Can a supplier use additional materials that are properly labeled?
A 10: No, without DHEC and EPA approval only the approved chemicals listed can be used on State grounds. Baits CAN NOT be used.
Q 11: Under the scope of services section, it states that termites are not included, but on the individual properties, it says they are. Could you clarify for me if termites are or are not included and if so, whether or not we needed to guarantee them for repair?
A 11: 91059 - Pest Control (Incl. Termites, Birds, Rodents etc) is the State’s Product Category code which tells the State what product area is being procured. It is NOT changing the Solicitations Specifications. Birds and Termites are NOT being procured on this solicitation. Please follow the Specifications on pages 13-17.
Additions to Specifications:
The winning contractor must obtain a signature from a pre-approved employee confirming that the contractor preformed work on the premises.
