North Caldwell Residents
The North Caldwell Community Pool is scheduled to open on Memorial Day weekend, (May 26th, 27th and 28th) from 11:00 am-7:45 pm and subsequent weekends from 11:00 am-6:00 pm until Friday June 22nd when it will open at 3:00 pm. After that date the pool will open full-time and remain open through Labor Day (September 3rd).
An application for pool members is enclosed. Please follow instructions and sign-up for the pool using Community Pass. Payments can be processed online via credit card or by check. Checks must be made payable to The Borough of North Caldwell.
Payments will NOT be accepted at the pool. Payments can ONLY be brought directly to the Recreation office between the hours of 8:30AM-4:30PM or dropped off in the mail slot at the front door of Borough Hall, 141 Gould Avenue.

Membership Rates:
Family Membership: $415.00
Includes two adults or one adult/legal guardian, and all unmarried children 25 years of age or under residing with them. Children under 1 year of age, as of May 2, 2017, do not require membership.
Other persons: permanently residing with family: $115.00
Couple Membership: $330.00
Senior Citizen Couple (Either person aged 62+): $220.00
Senior Citizen Individual Membership: $140.00
Individual Membership (Age 13+): $220.00

*Please note: Once you register online, you will be responsible for payment for that program unless the program is cancelled by the Recreation Department. No refunds, and No withdrawals! *No exceptions*
The New Jersey State Department of Health’s swimming pool code as it applies to North Caldwell facilities, is hereby incorporated into these rules and becomes a part thereof.
North Caldwell pool manager, assistant manager and lifeguards on duty have the authority to prohibit action and or conduct which they consider to be improper, dangerous or immoral, and shall have the power to suspend privileges otherwise granted to the holder of the membership.
In addition the pool managers may decide to close or limit the use of ther pool whenever in their judgment such action is essential for the protection of health and safety of membership.
GENERAL
- Any person showing evidence of skin disease, infection, or communicable disease may be denied admission by the pool staff.
- Roughness, rowdiness, profanity or other conduct affecting the safety and comfort of others will not be permitted on pool property.
- Parents must watch their toddlers at all times. The wading pool is limited to children 5 years old and under.
- Glass is prohibited on pool property. Ball playingis prohibited on pool property, except in designated areas.
- Diapers are prohibited in the main and wading pool unless plastic pants are worn over the diaper.
- All members will be asked to exit the water 15 minutes prior to the closing of the pool.
- Chairsprovided by North Caldwell pool may not be reserved or removed from the snack bar area. Members are allowed to bring their own chair.
- UmbrellasCANNOT be reserved prior to the member arriving at the pool.
- Adult swims will be for 15 minutes every hour or at the discretion of the manager when needed at which time all children, age 17 and under must vacate the pool. During adult swim, an adult may bring only one infant into the shallow area of the pool.
- Children under the age of 13MUST be accompanied by a member over the age of 18.
GUEST POLICY
- Rainy day refunds will be made at the discretion of the manager.
- GUEST FEE IS $10.00 PER GUEST. Baby-sittersMUST pay aguest fee unless registered for the season.
- Members can bring in guests.Non-swimming guests will be charged the same guest fee as a swimming guest is charged.
- A guest will be admitted only when the pool member is with them. Members must stay with their guests.
WATER AREA
- No diving off the walls of the pool!!
- Smoking is prohibited within the pool gate. Smoking is allowed outside the front of the building.
- The use of inflatable tubes and floating devices ISNOT allowed.
SLIDES
- One person at a time on the ladder.
- Sitting position only, no head first!
- No flotation devices on the slide.
- To use the big slide a child must be able to swim unassisted to the stairs.
- Parents are prohibited from catching their children at the end of the slide!
DIVING AREA
- Diving is permitted ONLY in the designated area.
- Only one person at a time shall be permitted on a diving board or ladder.
- Divers shall not dive until the previous diver has cleared the area below the board.
- Retrieving objects from the bottom of the diving well, unless authorized to do so by a lifeguard is prohibited
