Materials and information needed for application to study in GXNU

Welcome to study in GXNU!

To be quick and good at finishing the application formalities,it is very necessary for the applicant to present or send us all materials needed for study in GXNU 3 months before the beginning of the new semester (end of February or early September each year).We really appreciate your cooperation.

  1. For a Chinese language student, you are required to send us the following:

(1)A completed Application Form for Overseas Candidates to Study in Guangxi Normal University sent by e-mail( Ifwritten by hand,the application form must show clear and complete information;

(2)12 passport-sized pictures at registration;

(3)A copy of your passport;

(4)Application is open during the whole semester.

B.For an undergraduate student candidate, you are required to send us the following:

(1)A completed Application Form for Overseas Candidates to Study in Guangxi Normal University sent by e-mail( written by hand,the application form must show clear and complete information;

(2)2 copies of senior high school diploma with its either Chinese or English version;

(3)Students of non-Chinese majors must present their HSK certificates(Elementary C or Band 3) or a corresponding certificate of Chinese level(to show the application’s ability to understand classes taught in Chinese);

(4) A copy of your passport when you apply;

(5)12 passport-sized pictures at registration;

(6)Application open for the fall semester in Septemberusually;

(7) A HSK certificate of Secondary B or Band 7 is needed for graduates of Chinese majors while Band 4 is needed for graduates of non-Chinese majors.

C.For a Graduate student candidate, you are required to send us the following:

(1)A completed Application Form for Overseas Candidates to Study in Guangxi Normal University sent by e-mail (

If written by hand, the application form must show clear and complete information;

(2)2 Copies of university diploma and bachelor’s degree with either Chinese or English translation version;

(3)A copy of your passport when you apply;

(4)2 printed letters of recommendation(by two associate professors or professors,with letter head showing the recommender’s status,university,address,telephone and fax etc.);

(5)HSK certificate (Band 6 for students of Chinese majors while Band 4 for non-Chinese majors) or a corresponding certificate of Chinese Level (to show the application’s ability to understand classes taught in Chinese);

(6)Application also open for the spring semester in early March for some majors (needed to be discussed first by the applicant and the college);

(7) A HSK certificate of at least Band 8 is needed to graduate.

Note:

(1)Newcomers must,within 5 working days after registration,go with their passports to Office 209 for information on visa extension or resident permit application;

(2)Long-term students(longer than 6 months) must have a physical examination.Those who do not pass will not be allowed to register;

(3)Room reservation is necessary for newcomers.

(4)A new semester usually starts at the end of February or the early beginning of September each year.
