Administrative update: Mr. Boardman shared that the budget proposal is due on Monday, November 9th. The first meeting with the budget committee is November 16th. This is the first of two scheduled meetings. Trimester report cards will go out before Thanksgiving. Picture packages will be coming home this Friday. Mrs. Sherouse is retiring at the end of this year. Lastly, a HUGE thank you to R. Robie for the wildly successful Harvest Fest this year!!!
Treasurer’s report: We made $349.96 at the Harvest Fest. So far we have taken in $988.73! M. VonJess shared a few other line items such as $18.00 for lost and found and some uses of funds for grade levels and supplies. Taxes are all set and we are in full compliance. Insurance update: Tulip insurance was used for the Harvest Fest. After in depth research there is no real difference in price between quotes for the new cost of insurance discussed at the October meeting.
CloseBuy/Innisbrook update: Innisbrook profit=$2500 and CloseBuy profit=$1458.
Rewards Program: R. Heffernan updated us on the Box Tops program. We have earned $682.40 for the first round-our goal is $1000.
Directory update: J. Sebeny updated us about the directory. So far we have made $3100 but we are still receiving tribute ads. P. Heffernan offered full printing costs if books are stapled. THANK YOU to the Heffernan’s for this amazing donation!
Spirit Wear: T. Saltmarsh & R. Dodier updated us about this fundraiser. All orders are due by November 13th. We have $685 total sales with $130 going to PAL.
· For Spring= look to add smaller items like water bottles, car magnets etc...These require a minimum number to be purchased ahead of time so we need to vote on this. There was a suggestion to do just North Hampton Est…instead of just the school. Also a suggestion to add Winnacunnet gear for 8th graders was made.
Harvest Fest update: R. Robie share that we made almost $350 but that attendance was down by about 150 people. It was still a success and a wonderful night. Next year this event truly needs 3 people in charge (1 raffle, 1 kitchen, 1 games)
Spin-a-thon reminder: November 22nd at 12:30 pm at CycleFierce (kids 4’11” can ride this year)
Community Outing: Manchester Monarchs game February 14th at 1:00 pm. Kids will be allowed on the ice to meet the players. More details will be coming about this event.
Bill McGowen is coming in December to talk about transitions for 8th graders.
In Need: School reps for School Council –Two are needed (1 PAL rep and 1 community rep)
Voting results:
· 2nd grade extra funds Yes = 13 No = 0
· Smencil/Smen fundraiser Yes = 12 No = 1
