Time Sheet Procedures

OSU is transitioning to using a new timesheet policy. The provider of this is Empcenter. This new online timesheet is hopefully going to make things easier on the business center to process and easier on our employees to access wherever they can get Internet access. Below is a brief summary of how to access and submit your timesheet based on your position. A more comprehensive training/support video can be found at:

To begin to access your EmpCenter account you must go to the EmpCenter Login screen:

You will be asked to provide your ONID username and password. Once you have logged in, you will be at your main home page.You will need to select “Enter My Hours” on the left hand side of the page.

PAC EMPLOYEES:

Since you are on a salaried position per fte, you do not need to input each hour you have worked. Therefore, for PAC individuals you will need to merely select Enter My Hours and select submit. Only do you enter information if you took time off, used vacation or sick time (over half time only), or need to amend a prior timesheet.

TIMESHEETS DUE: the last day of the month

FSF EMPLOYEES:

Since you are on an hourly appointment, we will need to input each hour you have worked. This will include any time you taught or subbed for another FSF instructor/class. Each hour you input should correspond with the timeframe of the class (i.e. 12:00-12:50=12:00-12:50, not 12:00-1:00pm)

Above is just an example of what a timesheet might look like and how to entire the time. It is important that you enter into the Comments section the class you instructed, even if you subbed for an individual. This will help us track for accuracy of all timesheets, as well as the system has a glitch where you must include something in the comments section if you are manually placing in your time otherwise it will not allow you to submit your timesheet.

TIMESHEETS DUE: the 15th of each month

PAC/FSF EMPLOYEES:

If you hold both a PAC and FSF appointment you will need to submit two timesheets for your work. The system has been set up to only input your FSF appointment, therefore follow the procedures above for the FSF timesheets. These will be submitted the same way. For your PAC timesheet you will need to submit a hard copy of the document for approval. However, you will need to merely sign the timesheet and fill in the appropriate information for each of the sections and place it in the director’s mailbox for review. You will not need to input any time worked, just time taken off, the same as above for PAC timesheets just on paper.
