  • Budget Report attached.
  • Winterfest brought in over $3,000 this year. Skate night was cancelled due to inclement weather and unfortunately could not be rescheduled for this year. ASAP had another successful year bringing in over $6,700. Restaurant Nights are slightly behind in revenue this year but more events will be scheduled before the end of the year. The School Supplies fundraiser is gearing up again. Spirit Wear was significantly down this year due to our new on-line ordering system (people are still unfamiliar with) and initial start up fees incurred to start up production. The Art fundraiser currently has kids working on their masterpieces through 3/17/16 where they will be then sent off to the company to be transformed into beautiful plates, mugs etc. that parents can chose to purchase. The Tech Fund was used to purchase IPads for classroom use and greatly appreciated by all!

Odyssey of the Mind

Kristy Balwinski

  • Congratulations to the nine Odyssey of the Mind Teams that competed in the Regional Competition on Saturday, February 27th. The teams did a wonderful job representing Steuart Weller presenting their long-term solutions and with their spontaneous problem solving skills! It was amazing to see the long-term problem solutions that the kids scripted, constructed and performed without any "outside assistance" in front of judges and packed audiences. "Awesome Sauce" finished in 2nd place in the Furs, Fins, Feathers and Friends problem and the "Junior Thinking Caps" will once again represent Steaurt Weller at the Virginia State Competition after finishing in 1st place in the Stack Attack! Go Wildcats!
