Fundraiser Updates

  • Committee members agreed on a deadline of 11/2/17 to finalize all donations for the Holiday Raffle. The raffle tickets will be printed, then cut and sorted by building at our next meeting. Tickets will then be distributed to all sellers by building.

Fundraiser Updates

  • Committee members are continuing efforts to solicit donations for our Holiday Raffle. We hope to have all donations secured by 10/27/17
  • Our current fundraiser for Mixed Bags ends on 10/18/17 for both online and catalog orders. Maryam will contact the dean's office and have them send out an e-mail college-wide promoting this sale and our New York City bus trip fundraiser
  • Deadline to register for our New York City bus trip was extended to 11/15/17. If you're interested in attending this "do as you please" day trip on Saturday, 12/2/17, please see a committee member or you may reach out to Sierra Page at for more information

Fundraiser Updates

  • We raised$453.50from our State College Spikes game fundraiser. Thank you again to all who purchased tickets to make this another successful event!
  • Mixed Bags will be sold from September 18-October 20. Please use fundraiser ID#708914when placing orders online (seeSpecial Fundraiserpage for link). Orders ship immediately (if ordered online) and are sent directly to purchaser. If placing an order from the catalog, please make checks payable to LA United Way
  • Fullington bus trip to New York City will be held Saturday, December 2. If you're interested in attending this "do as you please" day trip, please see a committee member or you may reach out to Sierra Page at for more information
  • Committee members were each assigned to local businesses and will begin reaching out to secure donations for our annual Holiday Raffle

  • Sherri will provide us with an update on our fundraising totals from the State College Spikes game at next meeting
  • Mixed Bags fundraiser up next and will begin on September 18
  • Fullington bus trip to New York City being held Saturday, December 2, 2017. Committee members received a flyer and will begin advertising this in mid-late September
  • Discussed the annual Holiday Raffle and we will begin contacting sponsors for their donations

Office Olympics

  • 11 teams registered
  • Sound system to be set up at 2pm
  • Volunteers still needed to help run each event
  • Committee will meet again on 7/25 for a "workday", putting together all medals and getting necessary materials organized

Fundraiser Updates

  • Mixed Bags sale will be the next fundraiser, after Office Olympics. Sale will run from 9/18/17 through 10/20/17. May sell these both online and by catalog. Orders will take 2 weeks for processing
  • We will have another Marianna's hoagies/pizza sale in October
  • Tait Farm fundraiser to be done in November
  • Discussed organizing a Fullington bus trip to New York City in early December. More details forthcoming

Spikes Game

  • August 11--7:05 pm game time, Fireworks and FREE kids zone, $10 per ticket
  • If you would like to purchase tickets, please see the United Way or Staff Advisory Committee person in your department/area to get tickets

Office Olympics

  • Team registration deadline is June 30th
  • Please email Trisha Everhart by June 30thwith your team name and team captain. Someone will be around to gather the $50.00 registration fee
  • Volunteers are needed to help with office Olympic games

Fundraiser Updates

  • Marianna hoagie fundraiser profit was $408. Nice job everyone!
  • Mixed Bag fundraiser- once a tentative date is set we will supply you with more information
  • Lularoe Trunk Show will be in the fall sometime after Office Olympics
  • Tait Farm Fundraiser will be done around Christmas, makes the perfect Christmas gift!

Updates on fundraisers for 2017:

  • Cooke Tavern Soup- currently selling these soups. Orders are due by March 10th. Checks should be made payable to Liberal Arts United Way. Delivery will be March 27th. Please see a United Way Representative in the following buildings if you would like to order any soup. Also, a display of the soups and order forms will be available at the College Staff Awards
  • Marianna’s Hoagies will be sold around the end of April; more information to come in the next meeting
  • Looking at potential Paint Night May 13th or 19th at Letterman’s. Doors will open at at 5pm painting starts at 6pm
  • Mixed Bag Sale June/July
  • Lularoe Trunk Show looking to do after Office Olympics
