****GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL STAFF MEMBERS ****

This year SGP is focusing on accountability and work ethic. We are all one big team therefore SGP has come up with general requirements for all staff members:

Attend every monthly staff meeting. Miss 2 general staff meeting and you will lose your position. Initial _____

Must sign up and ATTEND at least 3 one hour shifts per show or promotional push (estimated 6 per semester) Initial _____

Chief of Staff

Facilitate all communication between SGP executive board (Chairman, Comptroller and Vice Chairs) and SGP staff members

Take attendance and minutes at every SGP meeting

Enforce general staff requirements

Book all meeting rooms and file all permits for SGP meetings and events

Promotions Team

Vice-Chair of Promotions

***Required to hold a separate meeting with street team leaders 3 weeks before each show***

In charge of distributing all hard media (flyers, posters, promotional items)

Ensure every promotional staff member fulfills requirements

Assign Street Team Leaders different areas of promotion for each show and provide list of business to go to

Pre determine which businesses in each area will assist SGP in promotions

Street Team Leader (Director)

***Required to attend a separate meeting with VC of Promotions 3 weeks before each show***

Manage a small group of General Street Team members, ensuring they fulfill their requirements

Poster/flyering a specific area of Gainesville (ex: Midtown, Turlington, Santa Fe)

Director of Announcing

Organize groups of all staff members for announcing to Organizations and General Body meetings (ex: Fraternities, Sororities, BSU, IRHA, ASU...)

Must have sign up sheet of at least 15 members for announcing to each organization filled out 2 weeks prior to every concert

General Street Team Member

***Easiest way to get in SGP and work your way up***

Work with respective Street Team Leader to Poster/Flyer assigned area

Required to do 1 additional hour of promotional tabling/flyering per show/promotional push (totaling 4 hours per show)

Director of Freshman Dorm Promotions (directors of each area)

Each dorm area will have 1 director of postering/flyering in their respective areas

Work with IRHA to get promotional materials in each dorm area

Marketing Team

Vice Chair of Marketing

Responsible for overseeing all marketing efforts of SGP

Will be given his or her own sizable budget (usually 10% of artist fee) to develop entire SGP marketing plan for each show

Analyze most effective marketing tactics to get best value for SGP

Must have marketing plan completed 1 month prior to each show with ordering dates

Specifically oversee Director of Social Media and Director of Promotional Items to continue communication with UF student body

Director of Promotional Items

Deliver all tents and promotional items to Turlington and the Reitz Union at 10:30am each weekday for 2 weeks prior to each show

Pick up tents and remaining promotional items from Turlington and the Reitz Union at 2:30pm each day for 2 weeks prior to each show

Main say in selecting and designing all new promotional items being purchased

Will be a team of 3 to 4 directors

DirectorofSocial Media

Make at least 1 post per day from the official SGP Facebook page and Twitter

Manage all social media promotional ticket/meet and greet give aways

Brainstorm new ways to get Facebook likes and Twitter followers to connect with students through social media

Facilitate all music content suggestions for SGP FB/Twitter from SGP staff

Personally research new music content for official SGP Facebook page

Create music playlist of incoming artists (ex. Spotify, Grooveshark, Mixpod, etc...) to help advertise for upcoming SGP shows 2 weeks prior to every show

Director of Social Media Events

Must create a Facebook event for every show SGP is involved in

Write creative and informative descriptions for each event.

Organize entire SGP staff in inviting guests to SGP events

Upload old and new content (videos, pictures, etc.)

Director of Graphic Design

SGP liaison to catering, police and O’Dome’s productions staff on the day of show

Organize VIP for seated shows

Director of Artist Reception (Runner)

Must be warm and friendly yet hardworking, dedicated, and most importantly professional

Will be in minimal contact with O’Dome production staff along with artist/entourage to fulfill any reasonable requests

Must be able to make small credit card charges on the day of show. Will be reimbursed within the week

Director of Hospitality

Manages small budget to order food for SGP staff at certain shows

Public Relations

Vice Chair of Public Relations

****if possible, include press releases you have done****

Press releases to all viable media outlets (ex: Newspapers, Radio Stations, TV)

Make connection between SGP and every prominent student organization to facilitate synergy through co-sponsorships (ex: BSU, ASU, Pride, Fraternities, Sororities, IRHA, SG...)

Must contact every viable organization 1 month prior to each show with co-sponsorship opportunity

Must find 1 responsible representative from every organization to inform SGP about general body meetings and to facilitate promotions and ticket blocks

Write 2 promotional emails for each show to be sent to organization representative to be sent over listserves

Solicitations

Vice Chair of Solicitations

Work towards a major corporate sponsorship for SwampFest 2013

Workout smaller cross promotional deals with local business to get benefits for SGP staff members

SGP Records “Student Talent”

Vice Chair of SGP Records

Oversees all mock record label function with the purpose of increasing awareness of UF student music of any genre

Finds live performance opportunities for student acts at SGP shows

Director of Artist and Repertoire

Head of student talent scouting

Work closely with SGP Records Vice Chair to create best ways to expose student music

Director of Talent Development

Offers insight to student acts in press kit development (experience necessary)

Reaches out to media outlets to find press opportunities

Director of Videography (Recordings)

Must be able to work well behind the lens and edit video

Will create SGP Recordings media with band profiles/ interviews/ recruitment ads
