Biography “Pop Stars” Book Report

Mrs. Suggs - 6th grade Reading

DUE: Monday, March 5th

Chose and read a biography about a person that interests you. The book must be on or near your reading level. In addition to writing a report on this book, you must decorate a 2-liter soda bottle to represent your character. Use this sheet as a guideline for the information you need to gather during your reading. AFTER you have read, if you find that the biography did not contain some of this information, please look it up online or in another book to complete your report. Record any additional sources at the bottom of your cover page.

  1. Cover page:

Include a drawing or photo of your character, the title of the biography, the author of the biography, and your name. If you used any additional sources, list them at the bottom of this page.

  1. Page One:

Tell the date and place where your character was born and raised. Describe the early life of your character. Tell about what kind of person he or she was. What was it about your character that helped him/her succeed? Did your character know what he or she wanted to become in the future? How did your character prepare for his or her future?

  1. Page two:

Tell about the work your character did. Tell why his or her contribution was important; why the work was important. Did he or she invent something or teach others? How did he or she change the world?

  1. Page three:

What should we all know about your character? What lasting effects did your character have on the lives of others? How do we benefit today from him or her? What do you think was the most impressive thing about your character?

  1. Page four:

Tell how your character has inspired you. In what ways would you like to be like him or her?

**Each page does not have to be completely filled with words. The separate pages are just for organization & grading purposes. Write as much as you need on each page to cover the information in complete sentences/paragraph form.**
