Partnerships Coordinator: Northwest England

Location: Based inPreston but with travel across Lancashire and occasionally the wider Northwest region.

Starting Salary: £22-25,000 plus pension (pro rata)

Contract type: Initially to the end of February 2018 with an extension subject to funding.22.5 hours week equivalent with some flexibility negotiable.

You’ll support the management of the network of Northwest spend partners and communicate with partners and their volunteers to ensure theyhear about and access the exciting opportunities to spend their Time Credits. Like everything at Spice, the work is fast-moving, creative and varied and you’ll be an integral support for the regional team.While initially short term we are hopeful that we will be able to secure additional funding to extend this role.

Purpose of Post

The role will work closely with the Partnerships Manager for Northwest to ensure our network of Northwest spend partners are well managed and supported to offer the best possible experience to our members. You’ll lead on communication with existing partners, making sure they are happy with their experience of Time Credits, and you’ll support on communication of spend offers to our members. You’ll provide administrative support to the Northwest Partnerships team and have excellent attention to detail. You’ll liaise with partners to ensure all our members can access spending activities, including organising trips and managing ticket allocation, and manage the quarterly reporting of spend across the region. You’ll also support the production of our Northwest Time Credits brochure and additional spend communications materials, and ensure Northwest spend opportunities are listed online.

Our partnerships are driven by the needs of the volunteers we support, so you need to be a great listener and people person with a genuine passion for supporting the development of individuals and organisations. There will be a lot of partnership working within the team too, so you should be a natural team player. We work with SMEs, huge national chains and everyone in between including a very diverse membership, so excellent and adaptable communication is key to success in this role. While talking and relationship management is a big part of the role, good skills with reporting and analysis of your spend network will also be very advantageous to help up demonstrate the impact we have in communities.

Role description

Administration & reporting

  • Lead on the distribution and return of Spice Time Credit notes from Northwest spend partners
  • Lead on Northwest-wide spend monitoring data collection, input and share with Project Managers
  • Work with the Partnerships Manager for Northwest to produce an annual report on Northwest spend activity and partner status
  • Other administrative tasks such as writing up events, flipcharts and meeting notes

Marketing & Communications

  • Produce spend marketing materials and information including online newsletters, spend brochures, posters, online listingsand case studies
  • Manage the design and print cycle from seeking quotes through to sending artwork to print
  • Manage social media platforms to promote spend effectively: co-ordinating updates, responding to queries etc
  • Work with the Partnerships Manager: Northwest to achieve local and regional press coverage of new high profile partners

Relationship Management

  • Account manage relationships with Northwestpartners in our spend networks across third, public and private sectors, including liaison with partners to support access for members and promotion to specific groups, trips and ticket allocation
  • Provide a first point of contact for spend enquiries; first responder to enquiries, send out appropriate informationand address any complaints by email or telephone
  • Identify any risks to partner relationships and work with the Northwest team to address them, including an annual network audit

Events

  • Support the organisation, promotion and delivery of regional spend trips, or group trips to new partners
  • Work alongside Northwest team members to deliver memorable and unique project spend trips
  • Lead on the organisation and delivery of partner events

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • You are IT literate with strong knowledge of the MS Office suite, including Excel, Word and Powerpoint as well as other administrative platforms, including Mailchimp, Eventbrite, etc.
  • You are comfortable using social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter
  • You are a team player as well as being able to work on your own initiative
  • You are outstanding at building rapport and developing productive relationships
  • You are committed to the vision and values of Spice
  • You are creative and have a can-do attitude
  • You have experience of implementing new processes and systems
  • You have strong organising skills and can manage information and tasks effectively
  • You are confident working independently and can plan and prioritise your own workload to meet agreed deadlines

  • You have experience of liaising with external contacts, businesses and services
  • You provide a polite and helpful first point of contact for stakeholders

  • You are willing to work outside of office hours on occasion

  • You have experience of account management with external stakeholders
  • You have experience of desktop publishing or design
  • You have experience of data entry

  • You have experience of working across sectors to deliver projects

Other Relevant Information

  • You will need to be flexible regarding working hours and location. Evening and weekend working will be a small but important part of the role. A driving license is desirable but not essential.
  • This role is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
  • This role sits within pay band P2, Northwest (£20,000-£26,000)
