Town of West Bend Town Board Minutes

December 14th, 2016

Supervisor Jim Heipp called the Town of West Bend Town Board meeting to order at 6:30 P.M.

Clerk Rebecca Schuster read the Call of the Meeting.

Roll Call was taken. Present: Supervisor Jeff Geib (via Facetime) , Supervisor Jim Heipp, Clerk Rebecca Schuster and Treasurer Julie Ihlenfeld. Chairman Paul Rice excused.

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Deputy Broker from Washington County Sherriff's Department was here to give the monthly report.

Approval of Minutes from the November 9th, 2016 Town Board meeting. Supervisor Jeff Geib made a motion to approve the minutes. Supervisor Jim Heipp seconded the motion. All in favor. Motion carried.

Treasurer's Report: Treasurer Julie Ihlenfeld gave the Treasurer's Report. Supervisor Jim Heipp made a motion to approve the Treasurer's Report. Supervisor Jeff Geib seconded the motion. All in favor. Motion carried.

Review of Bills and Authorization of Payments. Supervisor Jim Heipp made a motion to approve the bills and authorize payments. Supervisor Jeff Geib seconded the motion. All in favor. Motion carried.

Discussion and/or Action re: Adoption of Ordinance 2016-02: An Ordinance to Repeal and Replace Section 11.10 of the Town of West Bend Zoning Ordinance: Supervisor Jim Heipp made a motion to adopt Ordinance 2016-02. Supervisor Jeff Geib seconded the motion. All in favor, motion carried.

Discussion and/or Action re: Acceptance of resignation letter from Arland Stellmacher for Board of Appeals: Arland needs to resign due to health issues. We do have alternates that are available if needed to fill vacancy until we appoint again in April. Supervisor Jim Heipp made a motion to accept the resignation letter of Arland Stellmacher and appoint a new Board of Appeals member in April. Supervisor Jeff Geib seconded the motion. All if favor. Motion carried.

Discussion re: Fire Calls. We had one fire call this month. It was another false alarm for Cedar Communities. We will add it to the accumulating total.

Granting of Bartender license. Supervisor Jim Heipp made a motion to grant bartender licenses to Kellie Peterson and Courtney Hamilton. Supervisor Jeff Geib seconded the motion. All in favor, motion carried.

Other correspondence received by the Clerk and/or Town Board to be discussed at next months meeting. Lee Krueger submitted a nice letter and report on his duties as weed commissioner. We can place this on the agenda for January. Supervisor Jim Heipp wanted us to use the credit card to start purchasing ceiling tiles to replace the current tiles and also some cleaner. He would like the Public Works employees to start replacing these during slow times. We will start with an amount of $500.00.

Supervisor Jim Heipp made a motion to adjourn. Supervisor Jeff Geib seconded the motion. All in favor. Motion carried. Meeting was adjourned at 6:45 P.M.
