Some of existing data sets which are used for above mentioned Directives are covered by monitoring and reporting but are not part of national metadata catalogue.

Yes, they will become part of national metadata catalogue.

2- How is coordinated ensured between the implementation of INSPIRE and the other policies of the environmental acquis?

Coordination is week, only on sporadic occasions, i.e. through meeting on the level of NSDI working groups.

Is there an overview of which public authority is in charge of implementing measures regarding the environmental acquis?

NO known to NCP.

Is there a tentative matching of roadmaps regarding statutory reporting deadlines and the use of INSPIRE implementation measures?

According to our knowledge no.

Which are the main difficulties?

Lack of overview which intuitions are doing monitoring issues regarding environment, which should be done by coordination.

3- Suggestions for the role of MIG and of MIWP-21 on accelerating and improving the coordination of implementing INSPIRE to support other Directives.

  • First step will be to provide each INSPIRE Contact Point on national level with contact names of relevant institutions/person involved in those activities (as started by EEA/INSPIRE Team)
  • Draft an overview of which data is used for which purpose regarding monitoring
  • Suggest annual meeting of environmental reporters and NCP
