Some important things to consider
- You can apply for as many opportunities as you like. The more different opportunities you apply for, the more likely it is we will be able to offer you a place.
- There are more viewing platform opportunities than information tent opportunities available. Applying to be on the viewing platforms increases your chances of your application being successful.
- In order to be considered for Glastonbury, the festival ask that you have either volunteered at a festival before or attended Glastonbury as a customer in the last two years. If this applies to you, please ensure you mention this on the application form. If this does not apply to you, volunteering at another festival this year will make you eligible to be considered for Glastonbury in future years.
- Please be aware that, if you apply to volunteer at Glastonbury, you will be expected to do three eight hour shifts over the course of the festival and it is extremely possible that these fall on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The good news is many of your shifts are likely to be on the viewing platform so you will enjoy the festival and get to play a big part in the Glastonbury experience but it may not be suitable for people who have their heart set on seeing specific acts. Please note that, beyond informing the festival of your access requirements and supporting the Access Team to ensure these are met, Attitude is Everything have no influence over the time or location of your shifts.
How To Apply
I have attached an application you. You can apply by completing these and returning them to me. You can:
- Fill out the form electronically and email it back to me.
- Write out the form, scan it and email it back to me.
- Post the form back to me at Attitude is Everything, 54 Chalton Street, London, NW1 1HS
We also ask that you fill out our equal opportunities form. Please do this in addition to your application:
You are very welcome to ask a friend or a relative to help you fill out the form. You can also telephone me and ask me to help you fill out the form over the phone or to request the form in an accessible format.
The closing date for applications is Monday 13th February 2017. We hope to inform you whether we are able to offer you a place by Friday 17th March 2017.
What happens if I’m offered a place?
I will aim let you know if we can offer you a place by Friday 17th March.
I will then be in touch to discuss any access requirements you have so we can ensure we can make any adjustments we need to make at the festival.
If you are accepted for Glastonbury or the Reading or Leeds viewing platform, then we will also ask you to arrange to undertake Oxfam’s steward training. This will qualify you to volunteer across all of their festivals for 3 years before having to train again.
