Minutes of theJanuary 13, 2013,Annual Parish Meeting

Immediately following the 9:00 Eucharist service, parishioners convened in the Parish Hall for a light brunch.

The Rev. Richard C. Lindsey, Rector, called the meeting to order with a prayer at 10:45 a.m., and presided over the meeting. He proposed Vestry member George Pinkerton as recorder; this was unanimously approved. The meeting continued the practice introduced in previous year’s as a “paperless” meeting, with the agenda and supporting materials displayed on the large monitor at the front of the hall, and the 2012 Annual Report available on-line at the church web-site.

Fr. Lindsey recognized and thanked the members of the Vestry completing their terms: Bob Hooper, Tony Rizza, and Dottie McIlraith. He next identified the nominees for new Vestry members: John Castellano, Marjorie Milbrandt, and Peggy Miller. There were no nominations from the floor, and the slate of nominees was approved by acclamation.

Fr. Lindsey next nominated members of the Foundation Board to continue their term on the Board: Fred Hill, Michael Jordan, Bob Moore, Jim Moore, and Paul Ostergard. This was confirmed unanimously by vote of the assembly.

Fr. Lindsey then turned to the election of delegates and alternates to the 2013Special Diocesan Convention January 26, 2013, and the Diocesan Convention March 8, 2013. The nominees for delegate are Sherm Barker, Kerry Grant, Michael Jordan, and George Pinkerton; the nominees for alternate are Linda Hamp, Wil Hamp, Jim Moore, and Mark Szen. This slate of nominees was approved by acclamation.

Jennifer Gajdalo presented a report on Stewardship. The Fall All Member canvas resulted in 252 pledging units, of which 27 were new.

Treasurer Mark Szen presented his report, referring to supporting slides, included here asAppendix 1. All Saints ended 2012 with a surplus of $11,023.

Jim Moore presented a report on the All Saints Foundation. He invited everyone to consider including the Foundation as part of their estate planning.

Members of the staff reported on their activities: Deacon Sandy Grant (via video presentation), Music Director Steven Branyon, Preschool Director Nan Thompson, and Associate Priest Mark Brinkmann. Ministry reports under Mark Brinkmann’s oversight were given by Marjorie Milbrandt, Eucharistic Visitors; Bob Reuter, Green/Ecology Committee; Bob Taylor, Sacred Story Tellers; and Bob O’Flaherty, Seasonal Saints. Reports from the Vestry included Bob Hooper, reporting on outreach/missional activities at All Saints. Junior Warden Tony Rizza, and Senior Warden Dottie McIlraith offered closing statements.

Fr. Lindsey spoke briefly about his assessment of the year past and his vision “Pointing to the Future for All Saints Episcopal Church for the coming year. He then dismissed the congregation.
