Enrolling

Toenrollthesensor,setyourpanelintoprogrammode.ThengototheLearnSensorsmenu. Refertoyourspecificalarmpanelmanualfordetailsonthesemenus.Withthebatteryinstalled, removethebackcoverofthedevicetoactivatethetamperswitch.Thenselecttheappropriate sensorgroupandnumber.Re-attachthecoverandreplacethescrewtosecure.

Tilt Sensitivity

Thetiltsensorwillactivatewhenthedeviceisapproximatelyata45degreeangle.Bymovingthe actualballsensorupordown,youcanadjustthisanglebyafewdegrees.

Note: This device has a delay of approximately 1 second to eliminate false alarms caused by wind and vibration commonly subjected to a large garag door.

Mounting

Included with this device are mounting screws an!!! double sided tape. Choose a suitable location for the sensor by follqwing the procedure in the s ction "Testing the Sensor" ensuring desired signal strength is achjeved. For reliable bonding with the tape, ensure the surface is clean and dry. Apply the tape tcJ\the sensor and then to the desired location, ensuring that the arrow indicator on the side of the device is pointed upwards. Apply firm pressure for severalseconds.


Note: When mounting with double sided tape, ensure temperatures are above 50°F and will remainabove50°Fforatleast24hourstoensureproperbond.After24hours,thebondwillhold

Wherepossible,installsensorswithin100ft.(30m)ofthepanel.Whileatransmittermayhavean open-air range of 500 ft. (150 m) or more, the environment at the installation site may have a significant effect on operational range. Changing a sensor location may improve wireless communication. ·

Testing the Sensor (Test Weekly)

The sensor test verifies proper communicationbetweenthe sensor and the panel/receiver. To test the sensor, refer to the specific panel/receiver documentation and do the following:

  1. Putthepanel/receiverIntosensortestmode.
  2. Openthegaragedoprthesensorisprotecting,ortiltthedevice.Thesensor transmitsasignal.
  3. Listenforsirenbeepstodeterminetheappropriateresponse.
  4. Exit sensor testmode.

Installing / Replacingthe Battery

When the battery is low, a signal will be sent to the control panel. To install/replace the battery:

  1. Removethescrewsecuringthebackcover,andthenremovethecovertorevealthe battery.
  2. Install/replacewith aCR123Abatteryensuringthe+sideofthebatterymatchesthe indicator on thedevice.
  3. Re-attachthecoverandreplacethescrewtosecure.
