DUTIES:
Reporting to the Audit Director, the Audit Manager provides internal audit services to all Government Departments. The Audit Manager will lead projects/project teams, foster client relationships and manage sensitive information, with support from the Internal Audit Centre. The Audit Manager provides advice and recommendations that support continuous improvement and innovation throughout the department. The Internal Audit Centre provides a broad range of audit services, including; operational audits, advisory services (e.g. risk management, control, governance processes) and compliance engagements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Successful candidates must have a relevant undergraduate degree and one or more of the following: a master’s degree(MBA, MPA); an audit designation (CIA, CISA); a professional accounting designation (CMA,CGA, CPA, CA). The positon requires 4 years auditing experience. Candidates must have strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills (both verbal and written), discretion working with confidential information, and demonstrated leadership skills. Candidates should have experience in leading professional staff and completing multiple engagements with tight deadlines. Successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate reasonable advancement in auditing, accounting and management principles such as risk management, internal controls and governance processes. Experience with information technology would be considered an asset.
Some travel throughout the province would be required.

SALARY RANGE:$67,280.46 – 84,100.38
