Tuition
All registration fees are listed on this year’s registration form. No child will be refused religious education due to finances. If you are experiencing financial hardships, please call our office and we will be happy to work with you to arrange some sort of agreement. Catechists are waived of their fess.
Homework
Homework will be assigned from time to time at the Catechist discretion. Please make sure that your child does the assignment and returns on the due date. Usually, if your child/children are absent from class that is when they are asked to make up the work in order to not fall behind.
Testing
Every grade level will have a pre-test and then the same test as a post test. The intention is not to pass or fail the student but to make sure that the student understands the content.
Volunteers
From time to time, we are in need of parent/guardian help. If you have free time during your child’s session and want to help us, please stop by the office to see where we need assistance.
Special Sacrament classes
These classes are for children who have not received the Sacraments of Baptism or First Reconciliation and/or First Eucharist at the appropriate grade level or age. These classes are scheduled by you and the Director of Religious Education (DRE) according need. However, they are usually held during regular classes days and times. They are taught by DRE or an assigned Catechist.
Communication with Parents
You can get any pertinent information about our program, schedules, events, etc through the Sunday Bulletin, the website, family emails and some times through your child/children’s Catechist. Please make sure that if you change your email that we get that change of information.
Attendance/ Absences
Regular attendance is important for a meaningful learning experience. If you know ahead of time that your child/children will be absent, please let the teacher know or leave us a message at the office. This way the teacher can plan better and give any instruction on any work to be made up. It is really important that the student keeps up.
Lateness/Leaving early
Lateness in excess of 10 minutes is disruptive to the class. I know that sometimes it’s inevitable but we ask if you can please try to be on time. The Catechist s would appreciate that.
Habitual leaving early is also disruptive to class. Please make sure that you communicate any reason for lateness or leaving early with the Catechist.
Arrival/Dismissal
Children in grades 1 through 4th grade must be dropped off and picked up in the classroom. This is for safety reasons in the parking lot. If someone else will be picking up your child, please notify the Catechist or DRE. If you are running late for pick up, the catechist will leave your child in the school office. Don’t worry; your child will not be left alone in the classroom or hallway. If there are any issues of custody, please inform the catechist and the DRE so that all are aware of situation.
