BIRMINGHAM & DISTRICT AMATEUR FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION.

Minutes of the October Council meeting held on the 13 November 2012 @ West Midlands Travel. The President Mr. Ric Bowl in the chair.

An attendance of 48members was recorded.

Prior to the start of the meeting Ric Bowl confirmed that Stuart McGeoch had formally resigned from his position as Hon. Treasurer with immediate effect. Ric wished to place on record his appreciation for the time and effort that Stuart had given to the role. In light of this Council were informed of the following decisions:

  1. Steve Walker – stands down as Hon. Registration Secretary and takes up the position of Hon. Treasurer with immediate effect
  2. Steve Durham – backfills the position of Hon. Registration Secretary, again with immediate effect.

These Officer moves were proposed, seconded and carried unanimously.

Steve Durham confirmed that his contact details would be emailed to all member clubs within the next 24 hours.

Minutes of the October Council meeting, which had been circulated and were available on the entrance table, were accepted and signed.

MATTERS ARISING:None.

CORRESPONDENCE:Council advised that Shirley Athletic had formally resigned their third team from the Birmingham AFA and the implications of this would be discussed by the League Management Committee after Council. Confirmation that the AFA had registered with twitter – log on and follow us @birminghamafa.

CUP DRAWS:The semi finals of the Minor; fourth round of the Senior; third rounds of the Bill Hill, Vets and Jeffs cup competitions were drawn during the meeting.

REPORT OF THE COUNTY FA REPRESENTATIVE: No meeting/no report.

OFFICIAL NOTICES:

Hon. Treasurer – Had various receipts for member clubs, wished to see member clubs and called out clubs that owed the nominal transfer fee.

Hon. Fix. Sec. – Wished to see member clubs and remained clubs of the need for clubs to respond to fixture changes.
