I opened the front door this morning and a 8ft cockroach stood there, he smacked me to the floor and started beating me up. Later on I heard there was a nasty bug going around!

WELL DONE TO CURLING TEAM
One of Kinross High School teams qualified for the Scottish Schools Finals. They had an extremely close final game last weekend against Beath High and won 4-3 in the final end to then win the overall prize for Kinross. They were awarded with the Schools Green Hotel Trophy.
The team of Fiona Spain (Skip), Alison Wood, Finlay Campbell and Linzi Sim will
now, along with Beath High and Dollar Academy, represent Kinross at the Scottish Schools Finals at Murrayfield Ice Rink on 16th – 18th March. Good Luck!

If you finished in the top 6 for your year group in last week Kinross X-country then you are invited to represent the school in the Perth and Kinross X-country for schools. You are expected to attend a meeting on Tuesday (7th February) at break time in the Small Games Hall.

There will be a lunchtime meeting for ALL bronze Duke Of Edinburgh pupils in Mrs Summers room at 1.15pm on Friday 10 February. S5/S6 – Please remember that the library has study guides for most subjects to help with prelim revision. They may be borrowed for one week at a time, although this may be extended depending upon demand.
All Ages – The Starlab Planetarium is coming to the campus on Saturday11th February’12. Discover the fascinating world of the night sky. The Edinburgh Royal Observatory visitor centre staff are giving a talk about constellations, stars, galaxies near and far, seasonal changes etc in their inflatable planetarium.
Tickets are still available for the 12.15-12.45pm session; tickets cost £3.50 and are available from the library

SKI TRIP TO ITALY
There will be a meeting for all pupils who have applied to go on this trip at interval on Thursday 9th of February in the Lecture Theatre.
All applicants should attend as important information will be given out.

GEOBUS EVENT (S1 to S3)
On Tuesday and Wednesday, S1 to S3 pupils will be taking part in one of the four workshops, which involves science and geography. The Geobus team is a group of scientists from St. Andrews University and they will provide four workshops, which are: Monitoring volcanoes; Geology Time; Magic of Minerals, and FUNdamentals of Rocks.
All pupils will go to their subject teacher, as usual, and their teacher will direct the pupils to one of the above workshops.
