Downers GroveNative Earns Doctoral Degree in Pharmacy From MidwesternUniversity

Downers Grove, Illinois (May25, 2018)—Jane Doe, Pharm.D., of Downers Grove, IL, has completed the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree at the Chicago College of Pharmacy (CCP) of Midwestern University (MWU).An official graduation ceremony and conferring of degrees took place on the MWU Campusin Downers Grove, Illinois,on Wednesday, May23rd.

Dr. Doe is the daughter of Mike and Anne Doe of Downers Grove. She graduated from Downers Grove North High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University in 2003. While at MWU, she served as the President of Rho Chi, the pharmacy honors fraternity, the Vice President and Treasurer of the Class of 2009 and was a member of Phi Lambda Sigma, the pharmacy leadership fraternity. After graduation from MWU, Dr. Doe plans to work for Walgreens as a staff pharmacist where she plans to become involved in diabetic education and immunization administration.

Founded in 1991, the Chicago College of Pharmacy offers the doctor of pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree. Its successful curriculum emphasizes pharmaceutical care and pharmacy communications.

MidwesternUniversity is one of only a few institutions in the country with two colleges of pharmacy: the Chicago College of Pharmacy and the College of Pharmacy–Glendale.
