Lead the college’s focus on: 1) professional certification of students 2) increased international exposure and 3) enhancing scholarship to assure maintenance of AACSB accreditation.
-Oversaw curriculum revision that led to our online MBA program being
ranked in top 25 in U.S. News and World Report from 2013-2015
-Launched New Venture Competition with annual student prizes of $75,000.
-Led effort to fund $11 million renovation to College of Business (2014-16).
-Raised funds for a $1,000,000/6,000 ft2 Entrepreneurship Center (2012).
-Established College of Business Foundation.
2004 to 2007 Dean, Anderson School of Management, University of New Mexico
Led the development of strategic plan for the college focusing on: 1) earning re-accreditation and 2) invigorating the intellectual climate. Over the three years, the School earned reaffirmation of AACSB accreditation and:
-Raised funds to endow largest Chair in Anderson history ($1,500,000).
-Launched new Executive MBA program in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
-Started financial services center with $2,000,000 student managed portfolio.
-Launched business plan competition with annual student prizes of $40,000.
-Built Anderson School center for student engagement (5,000 square feet).

Led the College in the design and development of programs that anticipated and served the needs of the area UTEP primarily serves—Texas, Mexico and New Mexico. Organized, staffed and led a team of over 60 full-time faculty that included 13 endowed chairs and professors.
-Led development of College’s first Ph. D. program (International Business).
-Led the development of Accelerated (executive) MBA program.
-Raised over $750,000 for Student Center in College of Business.
-Increased annual private giving by 120% (1998-00 vs. 2001-03).
