BUFF CRISP MEMORIAL
A Memorial Service will be held at 2.30pm on Wednesday 14th May 2014 in St Edburg’s Church, Church Street, Bicester, OX26 6AR. All are welcome back to Kirtlington Park Polo Club for tea afterwards.
INTERNATIONAL ARENA TEST MATCH
On Saturday 1st March the AEPC Hickstead hosted the International Arena Test Match where the USA and England battled it out for the Bryan Morrison Trophy. Tommy Biddle, on 10 goals, did not disappoint the crowd and the USA defeated England, winning 21-17, in one of the best games seen in the Arena. Congratulations to Team USA.

DEVELOPMENT
Two Development Training Days for young players will be held at Inglesham Polo Centre in April. Tuesday 15th April is targeted at players in the Hipwood (U15) age bracket and Thursday 17th April for players in the Buckmaster (U18) age bracket.
BRITISH JUNIOR POLO CHAMPIONSHIPS
Entry forms for the British Junior Polo Championships are now available from the HPA Office.
FIRST AID COURSES FOR COACHES
The HPA are holding a First Aid Course (equine specific) on Friday 16th May 2014 in Little Coxwell. In order to be an accredited HPA Coach for the 2014 season a valid First Aid certificate needs to be provided. For further information, please contact the HPA.
BLUE BOOKS
The Blue Books will be dispatched to clubs during the third week of April. HPA members should pick up their copy and read the regulations and rules.
MEMBERSHIP CARDS
All registered members with an HPA handicap will be sent a membership card and a pocket rule book. The cards allow club managers to verify a player’s handicap and membership easily and efficiently. The above will only be distributed to players once the HPA has been notified of their membership and given their correct postal addresses by clubs. Unless you have one, you should not be allowed to play.
COACHING COURSES
It is not too late to book on to the first 2014 course for prospective Coaches and Instructors which will be held at the Beaufort Polo Club from 9th to 11th April 2014. Anyone attending the course must be eligible by age and handicap; normally 18 years and 0 goals. They must also have passed their Rules and Umpire Test. Anyone who has not reached 2 goals will need to attend as a minimum the first 2 days of their first course and all 3 days of their second before they can expect to qualify. The HPA are pleased to announce that all Members of the HPA will now have access to a free legal helpline which offers initial advice on a wide range of legal matters, with a further 10% reduction on fees if instructed. ENGLAND TEAMS IN ARGENTINA
An England team of Luke and Mark Tomlinson, Ollie Cudmore and Charlie Hanbury will play in a 24 goal tournament at the La Canada Club, with the final to be played on 13th April.
James Beim will then replace Charlie Hanbury for the Copa de Las Naciones to be played on 22nd, 24th and 26th April.
