ENHANCEMENT THE AMOUNT OF REWARD

The Commissioner of Police, Delhi has enhanced the amount of reward from Rs. 25,000/- to Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand only) declared on 8.08.2010 in case FIR No.407/2009 u/s 365 IPC P.S. Sangam Vihar, Delhi, regarding missing girl Kiran d/o Shri Mahavir Singh r/o Sangam Vihar, Delhi, which will hold good for a period of one year with immediate effect for any one who may give any information/clue(s) about the missing girl.

As and when any information/clue(s) regarding the above said missing girl is received, the same be sent to Inspr. Web Site, SCRB, Kamla Marketthrough DCP/C&R as well as in C&T Branch, PHQ., Delhi.

The Commissioner of Police, Delhi reserves the right to decide finally by whom the reward has been earned and in what proportion it will be distributed amongst various claimants, in case more than one claimant come forward for the same.

THAK-THAK GANG ARRESTED

A team of Special Staff of South-East district arrested a notorious thak-thak gang of South Indian thieves namely Prem S/o Soundh Raj R/o Jhuggi No. B-13, JJ Colony, Budh Nagar, Inderpuri, New Delhi and Arun S/o Hari Das R/o Jhuggi No. 11/94, JJ Colony, Inderpuri, New Delhi. They are learnt to be operating in several incidents of theft in Delhi and NCR. They target the cars either parked on the road side or in the parking areas. Four laptops were recovered from their possession. One case of theft by broking the window glass of the car has been solved with their arrest.

On 13/11/20010 after getting information a team of special staff of south-east district comprising SI Brijesh Malik, HC Anil Kumar, Const Sunil Kumar and Const Arun Kumar apprehended two persons of notorious thak-thak gang namely Prem and Arun while the gang leader Kanhya managed to escape. Two laptop bags were recovered from their possession. It was revealed that they had stolen one of the laptop from the area of PS C.R.Park, by breaking the window glass of a car parked on the road side near the market. The “GULEL” & Iron Balls were also recovered from their possession. They use “GULEL” & Iron Balls to break the window glass of the car. A case vide FIR No. 236/10 u/s 379 IPC was registered at PS C.R.Park.

Their modus operandi is to select the car parked on the road side or in the parking area which appears to have valuable articles or any type of bag. One member of the gang, from a distance breaks the window glass of the car by using “GULEL” & Iron Ball and other members immediately steal the articles from the car. This gang always keeps itself moving in the market places in search of easy targets. This gang is being operated by a notorious thief Kanhya.

Recovery

1. Two laptop bags containing four laptops.

2. One GULEL.

3. Three Iron Balls in a matchbox.

Profile

Both the accused persons operate in the form of a gang in the leadership of Kanhya in the area of Delhi and NCR. Each member of the gang has a particular task. They never move in the market or in the crowded places, in the form of a group. They always move alone but have eye contact with one another. They always use South Indian language during conversation. All the members are residing in JJ Colony, Inderpuri, New Delhi.

A GANG OF INTERSTATE AUTO LIFTERS BUSTED

Major Highlights:

  • Two notorious auto lifters apprehended.
  • Two cars and four motorcycles stolen from Delhi and NCR recovered.

A team of Police Station Pul Prahlad Pur, South East District Police has apprehended a notorious interstate gang of auto lifter with the arrest of two persons namely Shabu S/O Sh. Sheru R/O Village Liloni Mirjapur, PS Rabupura, Distt. GautamBudhNagar, aged 21 year & Shahrukh Khan S/O Sh. Saleem Khan R/O Mohalla Kajiwada, Village Tappal, PS Tappal, Distt. Aligarh (UP), aged 20 years, and recovered six stolen vehicles.

Background of the case

Information was received in PS Pul Prahlad Pur regarding gang of auto lifter operating Delhi and NCR. The information so received was communicated to Sh. Mahipal Singh, ACP/Ambedkar Nagar, who immediately constituted a team SI Kishore Kumar along with HCSharwan, HCPraveer, Ct. Harvir, Ct. Praveen, Ct. Ranbir and Ct. Prashant under the close supervision of Insp. Harish Kukreti, SHO/Pul Prahlad Pur. Accordingly, on specific information a trap was laid and SI Kishore Kumar along with staff apprehended accused Shabu & Shahrukh instolen vehicle Santro No. HR- 26-V-1651 while accused were going to Aligarh for disposing the stolen vehicle. The vehicle was reportedly stolen vide FIR No. 235/10 under Section 379 of IPC registered at PS Pul Prahlad Pur, New Delhi. Accused was arrested on the spot.

INVESTIGATION & MODUS OPERANDI

The accused were subjected to sustained interrogation and they disclosed that they use to steal vehicle in order to make easy and fast money. At the instance of both accused one Maruti car was also recovered from Parking of ICD, TKD. During the course of investigation accused stated that they along with their associate Jeetu had stolen this maruti Car from the area of Mehrauli. They also disclosed that Jeetu and his friend Yogesh have delivered four bikes for sale to them which they had parked at Nizamuddin Railway Station. All the stolen bikes have been recovered at the instances of the accused persons. Both the accused were produced before court and sent to fourteen days judicial custody. FOUR NOTORIOUS ROBBERS ARRESTED :

SENSATIONAL HOUSE ROBBERY OF MALVIYANAGAR SOLVED

With the arrest of four notorious robbers, the South District Police has solved the sensational house robbery of PS MalviyaNagar. One country made pistol, two blood stained knives, one robbed mobile phone and one gold ring have been recovered from them.

ACCUSED ARRESTED:

  1. Arpit Rathore age 19 years S/o Sh Yogender Singh Rathore Permanent r/o Village Gangupura, P.S.Jethra, P.O. Dhumari, District Atah, U.P. Present R/o House No. 1666, Gol Gumbad, (House of Santram Chaudhary), Kotla Mubarkpur, New Delhi.
  2. Rahul age 22 years S/o Baru SwamiR/oVillage Bijwara, P.S.Binoli, P.O.Bijwara, District Bagpat, U.P.
  3. Sanjeev @ Naresh age 26 years S/o Sh Ikpal R/o S-82/R-14, JagdambaCamp, MalviyaNagar, New Delhi.
  4. Monu age 26 years S/o Sh Ikpal R/o S-82/R-14, JagdambaCamp, MalviyaNagar, New Delhi.

INCIDENT, TEAM & ARREST:

On the night of 11.11.2010 at around 9.30 p.m., a sensation and daring house robbery took place at Ground Floor of M-7, Malviya Nagar in which three robbers armed with country made pistol and knives entered the house of Sh. Ravinder Nath Khurana and robbed the family and forcibly took away jewellery worn by Smt. Khurana, three mobile phones, cash Rs.4,000/- and rings worn by Sh. R.N. Khurana. While absconding, they inflicted injuries to Sh.Khurana and his son Manoj when they tried to apprehend them. Manoj was stabbed in his stomach and is still hospitalised. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No.441/10 u/s 397/394/411/120B/34 IPC was registered at PS Malviya Nagar and investigation taken up.

In order to arrest the criminals involved in this incident, a joint team of Police Stations Malviya Nagar and Saket comprising of Inspectors Dharma Dev, Dheeraj Narang, SIs Dalip Kumar, Parveen Kumar, Parvesh Lamba, HC Naresh, Constables. AliGaur and Jagbir under the supervision of Inspr. PankajSingh, SHO/Saket, Inspr. JarnailSingh, SHO/Malviya Nagar and Sh. Mehar Singh, ACP/Hauz Khas was formed.

The team so formed worked relentlessly and collected details of several criminals previously involved in such cases and activated their secret informers to develop information about the criminals involved in these cases. On 14.11.2010 while the team members were patrolling in the area of Main Market Malviya Nagar, an Information regarding presence of two robbers armed with DesiKatta in the Main Market MalviyaNagar, New Delhi was received. This information was further developed and it was learnt that they are planning to sell the jewellery and robbed mobile phone and leave Delhi. Reacting on this information, the police team immediately surrounded the suspects and apprehended ArpitRathore S/o Sh Yogender and Rahul S/o Baru Swami.

INTERROGATION:

During sustained interrogation of both the arrested accused, it was revealed that they alongwith Sanjeev and Monu are involved in the said robbery. At their instance, two main conspirators and co-accused Sanjeev @ Naresh and Monu were also arrested. One country made pistol, one blood stained knife used in the commission of crime and robbed items i.e. one gold ring and one mobile phone were also recovered from them. One of the accused Sonu is still absconding and raids are being conducted at various hideouts to nab him.

On further interrogation it was revealed that Sanjeev @ Naresh and his brother Monu, who were working as car-washers and sweepers were under heavy debt as they had taken heavy loan from local money-lenders for the marriage of their sisters. Sanjeev @ Naresh used to wash cars near the house of the victim. He and his brother Monu hatched the conspiracy of committing the robbery in association with Rahul, Sonu and ArpitRathore, whom they came in contact during Village Elections. Car-washer Sanjeev @ Naresh had shown the house of the victim to Rahul, Sonu and ArpitRathore and in order to hide his identity, he remained outside the house at the time of robbery.

PROFILE:

Accused Sanjeev @ Naresh and his brother Monu were under heavy debt as they had taken heavy loan for the marriage of their sisters. Sanjeev used to wash cars in the neighbourhood of the victims and had seen the complainants wearing expensive gold ornaments, carrying cash and expensive cell phones. In order to meet his liabilities and expenses on various indulgences, they planned to commit robbery in association with other co-accused.

ArpitRathore used to work in the Showroom at LajpatNagar and was friend of Monu. He is from Lower middle class family and wanted to earn quick money in order to start his own business.

Rahul has previously been arrested by Bagpat Police, UP for his involvement in one case of robbery and one case of Arms Act whereas absconding accused Sonu has previously been arrested by Bagpat Police, UP for his involvement in one case of robbery and two cases of Arms Act.

RECOVERY:

  4. Two blood stained knives

Further investigation is in progress and efforts are being made to ascertain their other involvements and to arrest the absconding accused.

TWO CHEATS ARRESTED FOR FRAUDULENTLY WITHDRAWING CASH THROUGH ATM CARD FROM THE ACCOUNT OF AN OFFICER OF NATIONAL DISASTER MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY (NDMA), S.J.ENCLAVE

With the arrest of two cheats including the main accused, the South District Police has solved the sensational cheating case in which the accused had fraudulently withdrawn Rs.4 lacs (approx.) through ATM Card from the bank account of an officer of National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and recovered cash Rs. 89,000/- and the entire items purchased through cheated amount.

INCIDENT & TEAM:

On 12.11.2010, Sh. Jagbir Singh, a retired Inspector from CISF and presently employed as a Security Officer in National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi made a complaint at PS Safdarjung Enclave regarding fraudulently withdrawals of Rs.3 84371/- from his account at SBI Loni Branch by using his stolen ATM Card. On his complaint, a case vide FIR No. 260/10 u/s 379/419/420/468/471 IPC was registered at Police Station Safdarjang Enclave, Delhi and investigation taken up.

Seeing the gravity of the crime and the fact that the complainant lost his retirement benefits and other savings earned during his serving period in CISF, a special police team comprising of SI Dharmveer Singh, HCRamhet and Constable Salim Khan under the supervision of Inspr. A.S. Rawat, SHO/S.J.Enclave to develop the information and to apprehend the criminals involved in this case.

INVESTIGATION, ARREST & INTERROGATION:

The team so formed worked relentlessly to collect the information and deployed their sources in the area. SHO/S.J. Enclave alongwith SI Dharmveer Singh enquired from the complainant about his daily activities in detail. During investigation, enquiries were made and it was learnt that maximum cash was withdrawn from the PNB ATM located at Safdarjung Enclave, near Kamal Complex. Therefore, enquiries were made at the bank and relevant video footages were obtained. It is worthwhile to mention here that on 12.11.10 while the complainant came to know regarding theft of his ATM and fraudulent withdrawals and subsequently went to bank to block his ATM for further withdrawals, at the same time the accused made two withdrawals amounting to Rs 20,040/- from the ATM of PNB located nearby the branch. The statement of the complainant was procured from the bank and on scrutiny it was also found that huge withdrawals from his account have been made through purchasing of items by swapping of ATM. The POS (points of sale) were identified and cash memos of purchasing items were collected from the different shops of the Pacific Mall Ghaziabad and other shops. The video footage of the accused was developed in order to establish the identity of the alleged accused and the same was shown to various persons. The efforts of the police team bore fruits when the staff positioned at NDMA identified the alleged accused as Sanjeev Kumar Verma, who has been working as a peon in NDMA and also using his Maruti Omni Van No. DL-6CE-3771 to ply the complainant and another officer working in NDMA. Immediately, raids were conducted and accused SanjeevKumarVerma was arrested from Shahdara Metro Station.

At the instance of accused, his brother-in-law KishorVerma was also arrested and cash Rs.89,000/- and the purchased items were recovered from his residence.

PROFILE:

Sanjeev Kumar Verma @ Sanjay has studied up to 12th standard. His father is a retired Vice Principal from a government school in U.P. In the year 2007, he was got employed by the complainant in NDMA as a peon on contract basis and was drawing Rs. 6,500/-per month. Apart from this, he was being paid Rs.5,000/- per month by the complainant for picking and dropping him and another officer of NDMA in a Maruti Van.

KishoreVerma, the brother-in-law of accused Sanjeev is a scooter mechanic and is running his own workshop at Babarpur, Delhi .

GANG OF INTERSTATE ROBBERS/AUTO LIFTERS BUSTED: THREE ROBBED MOTOR CYCLES & EIGHT MOBILE PHONES RECOVERED SIX CASES WORKED OUT.

The Special Staff of Outer District have busted an inter-state gang of desperate robbers/auto-lifters and solved 6 cases of robbery & M.V theftregistered in Delhi and Haryana. Three motor cycles and eight robbed/snatched mobile phones have been recovered. The arrested accused are Ashu Malik (20 Years) s/o Krishan Singh r/o Near Aryasamaj Road, Panna Mamurpur, Narela, Delhi, Parvinder @ Kali @ Prince(19 Years) s/o Satya Naraian r/o H.
