The seminar is one day of instruction on the AKC Hunting Retriever program. This is for AKC Hunt Test Judges and any one that wishes to learn more about the AKC Hunt Test for Retrievers, and all eligible breeds. (See page 2 for eligible breeds.)

Reserve a spot for this wonderful seminar presented by Russ Reavis, AKC Executive Field Rep, Sporting Group.

All attendees will receive the following:Judge’s Affirmation Form;AKC Group Liability & Accident Insurance; Apprentice Judge Form; Junior Handler Certificates; Event Committee Hearings Procedural Checklist; Guide for Dealing with Misconduct at AKC Events; and Retriever Hunt Test Regulations.

Dogs will not be allowed in the seminar building. Please leave your dogs at home.

Registration fee includes seminar, all materials and lunch.

Early bird registration: $35- must be posted marked prior to or on April 15.

All dogs six months of age or older from the following breeds are eligible to participate in Retriever Hunting Tests: (Information taken from AKC web site)

AKC Recognized and FSS Breeds

American Water Spaniels Golden Retrievers

Barbet Irish Water Spaniels

Boykin Spaniels Labrador Retrievers

Chesapeake Retrievers Miniature Poodles

Curly-Coated Retrievers Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers

Drentsche Patrijshond (Drent) Spinone Italiano

Flat-Coated Retrievers Standard Poodles

German Shorthaired Pointer Vizsla

German Wirehaired Pointer Weimaraner

  • Dogs of these breeds recorded with the Purebred Alternative Listing Program/Indefinite Listing Privilege (PAL/ILP) or dogs with Conditional registration are eligible to participate.
  • Spayed and neutered dogs are eligible to participate.
  • Bitches in season are not eligible to participate.
  • Dogs with Limited Registration are eligible to participate.
