I am Kenny J Productions (IAKJP) is an organization committed to promoting community wellness and strengthening the lifestyles of people regardless of their circumstances in life. While our primary focus is to promote the ideals of dance as a major component to wellness, it is our mission to make a difference in the lives of people from all lifestyles. Our motto is “Footwork with a Purpose” and our mission is to promote a Quality of Life agenda that is solely committed to reaching out and helping others whose circumstances sometimes make it difficult to achieve things on their own.
Since 2008 IAKJP has supported those folks in pursuit of higher education and with that, has awarded over $16,000 in scholarships. We are proud to continue our support of higher education and announce the 4th Annual IAJKP Dance Symposium and Scholarship Awards Ceremony. This event will allow us to provide college scholarships to deserving students in 2011 and will take place August 26-28, 2011 at the Holiday Inn Select in Claymont Delaware. On Sunday, August 28, we will honor the 2011 scholarship award recipients and their families.
Preliminary Eligibility Requirements:
1. 2011 high school graduate who has been accepted to a trade school or a 2 or 4 year college or university
2. College student, pursuing his first undergraduate degree and having a GPA of 2.3 or higher. .
If you meet the one of the above preliminary eligibility requirements we encourage you to complete the attached application and mail on or before the July 1, 2001 deadline. Applications post marked after July 1, 2011 or incomplete applications will not be considered. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE

Intent of Award: To recognize and reward those who aspire to pursue higher education and have demonstrated their commitment to learning.
Scholarship Usage: Recipients may use this award to help defray the cost of attending postsecondary education which may include tuition, books, meals, transportation etc.
Number of Awards: Dependent upon 2011 available scholarship resources.
Eligibility Guidelines and Requirements
1. Applicant must be a high school graduate and accepted to a trade school or a 2 or 4 year college or university (acceptance letter required) or
2. Currently pursuing their first undergraduate degree at an accredited 2 or 4 year college or university and having a GPA of 2.3 or higher (transcript required).
3. Applicant must show a record of involvement in civic, community, or extra-curricular activity.
4. Applicant must submit an essay of 500 words or less on one of the following topics::
o The virtue of dance as it relates to wellness; or
o What community activity the applicant has been involved with and its impact on the beneficiaries of that service.
§ The essay must reflect personal experiences
§ The essay should suggest how dance organizations can better promote its message to better serve the community.
§ The essay must be NEATLY PRINTED or typed
5. Applicant must provide two (2) signed letters of recommendation from the community, school, or work. Recommendations from family members are not acceptable.
6. Applicant must supply brief personal biography (no more than 2 paragraphs) and a current photograph to be included in our souvenir journal.
