ASENATE RESOLUTION
TO EXPRESS THE PROFOUND SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA SENATE UPON THE PASSING OF ALLAN GEORGE ANDERSON III OF CHERAW AND TO EXTEND THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate were deeply saddened by the passing of Allan George Anderson III of Cheraw on April 16, 2017, just a day away from his fiftyfourth birthday; and
Whereas, born in Florence on April 17, 1963, Allan George Anderson III was a son of Allan George Anderson, Jr., and Sally Ann Hite Anderson. He was a member of the Cheraw High School football team from 1980 to 1981. During his senior year, Allan was selected for the Charlotte Observer AllDefense Team and as a Class AAA Conference AllStar and NorthSouth AllStar. He also was featured in Who’s Who in College Football (1981). Following high school graduation, he earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Francis Marion University; and
Whereas, in the fullness of time, he met and married the former Tracy Anne Jennings, the Lord blessing their union with a fine family of two children, Mac and Alayna; and
Whereas, in his leisure time, this avid sportsman enjoyed hunting, fishing, and photography, and he was the fifth member of the ABV Club. He delighted in using his photography skills as team photographer for the Chesterfield High School Ramsa position he particularly relished because his son, Mac Anderson, plays on the Chesterfield Rams football team; and
Whereas, as a man of faith, Allan worshipped his God at First Presbyterian Church in Cheraw, where he had served on both the deacon board and elder board; and
Whereas, Allan Anderson leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Tracy Anne Jennings Anderson of Cheraw; a son, William “Mac” McAllister Anderson of Cheraw; a daughter, Alayna Lee Anderson of Cheraw; a brother, Louis Hite Anderson of Cheraw; his parentsinlaw, Buddy and Anne Jennings of Newberry; his brotherinlaw, Tripp Jennings (Dawn) of Chapin; a nephew, T.J. Jennings; a niece, Aiden Jennings; and a host of other family members and friends. He will be greatly missed. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the South Carolina Senate:
That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, express their profound sorrow upon the passing of Allan George Anderson III of Cheraw and extend the deepest sympathy to his family and many friends.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Mac Anderson for the family.
