Pillow Talk Hybris 5.4 migration

JAN 2015 – AUG 2015

Pillow Talk is one of the largest home linens specialists in the Australia. Pillow Talk is an Omni-channel operator providing customers both a visual journey via their 50 stores around the country, as well as a convenient Online and mobile store.

The project involves upgrading of hybris commerce suite from 4.7 to 5.4 by maximizing reuse of hybris accelerator functionality.

The hybris solution integrates with

·  ERP, Retail Directions RMS, for product data, stock availability, purchase and redemption of Gift Cards

·  SDL’s Fredhopper for search, navigation, merchandising and recommendations

·  Cybersource payment gateway for ANZ, with Decision Manager, for payments using Visa, Master and Paypal

·  Exact Target Marketing platform for newsletters and promotional emails

·  Kampyle, a customer feedback solution for mobile and web

·  Experian QAS for address validation

·  Salefinder for catalogue management

·  Google Tag Manager to organize and simplify their complex tagging system and improve page load times

Customer, Addresses, Payment, Wish list and Order data has been migrated from the hybris 4.7.

Jira is used a defect management tool, Confluence for Project related documentation and Bitbucket as source code repository.

In a team of 10, as a Lead Developer, Vinod was involved in and responsible for-

·  Modeling the multi dimensional product and its variants

·  High level design for the various integrations

·  Participating in Daily scrum calls with the scrum master and product owner

·  Development of Product and stock import/update cron jobs from the ERP system.

BGW is a group of diverse companies providing wholesale technical and trade product solutions across Australia. The current ERP solution, Momentum Pro, runs a number of instances supporting various company databases. These databases present a challenge to BGW to provide a single point of truth of all company products. The overarching project goal is to present a single product catalogue across the key data bases for all BGW users. It will also serve to provide the platform for BGW to internally support and grow the solution.

Role: Senior Developer.

Responsible for:

·  Gathering the requirements for unified PIM .

·  Providing the framework to customize the web reports.

OTP (One Touch Point) is a B2E application, a solution designed for ITH employees for their travel business needs. ITH employees get travel (flight, hotel, car, rail etc) bookings from their clients and use this application for booking, invoicing, query rising, and task handling

Ebreez

Ebreez is a travel web application where the user can plan his whole roundtrip journey starting from booking flights to hotel bookings for night stays. This also comprises a call center application module which again embeds the whole web application for the customer support.

A customer clicks on this web site and books his journey online.

This comprises of multiple applications like, B2B, B2C.

NPM.

NPM is a search and booking product used by a travel agent for travel bookings.

When a customer who is interested in travelling approaches the travel agent, the travel agent enters certain search parameters into the system, taken as input from the customer and provides the customer various offers availed by different organizer. If customer is interested, the travel agent can also perform bookings using this system.
