Brian'Buzz' Griffiths
Has been at Ruthin since he moved from Denbigh many years ago. Managed the 1st team from Nov 2006 to Jan 2008. Stylish defender had trials with Everton(lifelong supporter) and Shrewsbury as a youngster. Played for Ruthin for too long to mention.
First team manager
Adie Jones - Took the position on in Jan 2008. Has a great perigree in the Cymru Alliance gaining promotion to the Welsh Premier with Caernarfon and Llangefni. Great personality with extensive knowledge of the game and excellent contacts. Was a very good centre forward in his playing days playing for Chester City, Oswestry Town, Bangor City, Rhyl, Newtown and Llansantffraid.
Gary Davies - Assistant Manager/Physio. Another former player who has returned to the club this season to assist with the first team. Demands everything from his players and again provides sound advice based on extensive experience.
Simon Williams - Goalkeeper. Excellent all round keeper has gained Welsh Premier experience with Airbus and Llangefni. Agile, great shot stopper, good all rounder who ensures his fellow defenders know exactly what he expects of them.
Jamie Hulse - Goalkeeper. Jamie is a local lad signed this summer from local rivals DenbighTown where he has been ever present as their number 1 for a few seasons, he is very vocal and organises his defence which is a big asset. Has also played for Llandyrnog.
Dylan Jones - Goalkeeper. Dylan has stepped up from the youth side and played the last 5 games of last season, has worked hard with Siddy in pre-season and has a bright future ahead of him.
Dafydd Jones - Defender. Daf has an excellent attitude to match his undoubted
ability. Has found his position at right back were he was in excellent form last season. Very quick and skilful right back who adds a significant attacking element to the team.
Aled Roberts - Defender. Another player with an excellent attitude Aled will run through brick walls for his team mates - had a new lease of life since moving into left back from midfield. Gives 100% effort in every game, his defending is very strong, his distribution is improving and very strong in the air.
Shaun Williams - Defender. Signed from Gresford last season also played for Gap
Queens Park and has been a great signing for the club and won both players player and managers player of the season last year.
Mark Hobson - Defender. Vast amount of experience having played for Caernarfon Town, Colwyn Bay, Oswestry Town, Shifnal Town and Gap Queens Park to name a few solid at the heart of the defense.
Mike Garrod - Midfield. Recent signing from Upton AA(Jan 08). Mike is quick,
skilfull and very alert player, is very versatile and can play in most out field positions and was our leading goalscorer last season.
Ben Collins - Defender. Recent signing from Christleton FC (Jan 08). Ben is a very stylish left footed player who can play full back or wide midfield excellent in the air, has a very good touch and can also mix it when necessary. Ben is never quiet both on and off the pitch!!!
Mike 'Robbo' Robinson - Midfielder. Robbo is a recent signing from Upton AA(Jan 08). Robbo looks a natural centre midfielder he has a great 'engine' is very composed on the ball and gets in were it hurts. He plays the game with an air of somebody much older than his 19 years,
Liam Jones - Midfield. Former Shrewsbury Youth player - Quality midfield player both in the middle and wide. Great energy, excellent touch, good distribution and set piece expert. Also has a good strike rate from midfield.
Wil Roberts - Midfield. Welsh Schoolboy international. Has good pace and right foot to match. Excellent on the ball, quick, skilful and strong and contributes
significantly to the team. He has a vast amount of improvement to come and being 19 has the time to become a very good player.
Tom Sharples - Midfield. The 6ft plus 'Egg man' who we signed from Llandyrnog in the summer can play in a variety of positions and is a hard worker who gets his fair share of the goals with his well timed, drving runs through the middle of the park.
Matthew "Chopper" Davies - Midfield. Excellent ball player, is at his best in
forward midfield role requiring high skill, ball retention and vision. Scores his fair share of goals from midfield, dead ball specialist.
Gwydion Ifan - Midfield/Striker. Had an excellent season with Ruthin U16s last
season and also broke into the first team. Has a good eye for goal and has impressed during pre-season.
Tryfan Prosser - Striker. Returned to the club this season and has experience of playing for a number of clubs, including Llangefni and Brymbo. Very strong centre forward who holds the ball up well and brings other players into play.
Dan Graham - Striker. Signed from Guilsfield during the summer, has scored plenty of goals during his time at Ellesmere Rangers where he helped them to 4 promotions in as many years.
Lennox Beddows - Striker. Lennox is a true poacher he is extremely dangerous in the penalty area. He has great close control and turns defenders easily will score a good number of goals this season.
Tom Daulby - Midfield/Striker. His return from University to the area is a big boost for the Club. Had good technical ability and can play in midfield and in attack.
Tom Mackerel - Striker. Tom is a pre-season signing from Upton AA and is keen to get back to scoring goals after a lay off from football after being at Crewe Alexander as a youth player.
Kevin Garland - Midfield. Another new signing for the new season from Christleton in the West Chehire League, Kevin has great quality on the ball and chips in with his fair share of goals from midfield played for ChesterCity in his youth.
David Roberts - Striker. Signed from Upton AA, David came through their reserve side into the first team towards the end of last season, very clever player around the box.
