RESEARCH TOPIC and plan of work
The project description should include:
1. Detailed description of the research topic involving the state of the art in the research field including discussion of the scientific and technological background of each element of the project.
2. Expected scientific, social and economic contribution of the project. Its innovative aspects and specific advantages of the proposed technology compared to other existing technologies.
3. Detailed research program, including specific goals, methodology and work plan. Key scientific issues should be emphasized. The roles of Japanese and Israeli partners in carrying out the proposed research plan should be indicated, and the mode of integrating the work of the teams should be described.
4. The expected added value from the proposed joint project, and how this will help strengthen research cooperation between Japan and Israel over the longer term.
5. Description of available research resources and inventory of relevant equipment.(annex)
6. short CVs of research teams members (including publications of the last five years for each member) (annex)

In case Japanese partner investigator request the separate budget from the Principal Investigator, indicate the amount by adding another table. The total amount requested by the whole research team must not exceed 23.4 million JPY. Overhead expenses should be provided within the total budget.

The amounts are in Yen for the Japanese side and NIS for Israeli side.

Manpower (Salaries) on Israeli side only
1- Man months should be calculated as follows: months of work on the project during the contract period multiplied by the fraction of work time allocated to the research project.
2- Gross salary included the following components: basic salary, cost of living increment, seniority increment, family increment, academic qualification and “on-call” increments, including social benefits. Dollar professional advancement fund and sabbatical fund payments may not be included.
