Blessing of the Horses

An invitation is being extended to all equestrians to join us at the annual Blessing of the Horses. Please take this opportunity to show support for the Federation of Riding Clubs and the LeGrand Reynolds Horseman’s Area. All equine are welcome.

Place:LeGrand Reynolds Horseman’s Area, Escoheag Hill Rd., Escoheag, RI

Sign Up: 8:30 am

The Blessing will begin at 9:30am in the ring. Ride out: 10:00 am

Donation:$5 per horse or carriage for Blessing only. $20 for Blessing, mileage and lunch. $10 for juniors (under 18 yrs old) for Blessing, mileage and lunch.

NEHT/WGHA mileage – approx. 8-10 mile loop, option to ride 2x **Be sure to check in at the secretary table after each loop**

Lunch:Pizza, chips and soda will be for sale. Extra lunches available for $5. Lunch 12:00 pm

Directions:Take I-95 to exit 5A on to Rt102; Follow Rt102 and bear right on to Rt3; Go to 3rd light; Take a right on to Rt 165; Follow signs to Escoheag Hill Rd; Proceed to the Horseman’s Area (on the left).

PROOF OF A RABIES VACCINATION AND NEGATIVE COGGINS WILL BE REQUIRED

**For safety reasons were strongly recommend a red ribbon in the tail of horses that kick, a green ribbon in the tail of green horse or rider and a yellow ribbon in the tail of a stallion.

THE RI FEDERATION OF RIDING CLUBS OR THE OWNERS OF THE PARK WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS, DAMAGE OR INJURY TO RIDER, SPECTATOR, OR HORSE OR DAMAGE CAUSED BY ANY HORSE OWNED AND OR RIDDEN BY HIM/HER AND SHALL NOT HOLD THE RHODE ISLAND FEDERATION OF HORSE CLUBS OR THE OWNERS OF THE PARK LIABLE FOR ANY OF THE ABOVE.

Signature of this form consents agreement to these conditions as well as the RIFRC event rules. A representative who is of age must sign the entry blank and who, by such signature, individually accepts responsibility and risk as stated above.

ASTM/SEI approved helmets strongly suggested, required for riders under 18 years.
