Job title: IT Assistant - Convention d´Immersion Professionnelle (CIP)

Reports to: IFOAM EU Communication Manager

Job purpose: IFOAM EU is seeking a full IT person to maintain and further develop IFOAM EU’s IT solutions, including Office 365, Exchange, SharePoint intra- and extranets, CiviCRM, websites based on Drupal, Joomla! and WordPress; to manage our hardware park; and to provide ongoing technical support to colleagues.

Key tasks:

  • Respond to requests for technical assistance and advice
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
  • Manage IFOAM EU’s hosting solutions and hardware park
  • Manage access rights and serve as IT administrator
  • Technical maintenance and development of websites, SharePoint environment and CiviCRM
  • Maintenance and development of wikis
  • Assist colleagues in learning how to better use the IT solutions at their disposal

What kind of person are we looking for?

Education & Qualifications

  • Education in IT

Experience - Essential

  • No work experience is necessary
  • Knowledge of the main CMS: Drupal, Joomla! and WordPress
  • Knowledge of CRM systems, CiviCRM running on Drupal preferred
  • Knowledge of SharePoint and Microsoft web based application environment
  • Hardware and other equipment, as well as issue tracking and management
  • Effective communication skills in English

Experience - Desirable

  • Knowledge of other languages is an asset
  • Knowledge about Non-Governmental Organisations

Conditions of employment

  • Full time position
  • Candidate should fulfil the criteria for a CIP contract (Conventiond´Immersion Professionnelle)
  • Based at the IFOAM EU office in Brussels
  • Monday to Friday, 38 hours/week
  • Salary between 1000€ and 1200€/ month depending on qualifications and experience plus public transport
  • Employment period: 6 months’ contract that could be extended
  • Starting date: As soon as possible
