Hynes Charter School is seeking highly qualified and certified full-time middle school Social Studies teacher candidates who will work in inclusive settings and who are committed to our school mission which is, “Hynes, quality education, shaping leaders for a changing world.”

Expectations for Hynes Teacher:

  • Use goal-driven instruction. With the middle school team, Hynes teachers will establish clear and appropriate goals to help drive instruction and help students attain the content presented.
  • Differentiate learning. Be aware of and incorporate appropriate differentiated instructional strategies.
  • Goal-focused planning. Plan with team members to incorporate required standards and benchmarks for course content that are in alignment with lessons. Create and follow a course syllabus and curriculum map.
  • Data/Research-driven. Teacherscollect, analyze and use student data to drive instruction using research-based programs according to best practices.
  • Effective communicator. Hynes teachers are expected to effectively communicate, on an on-going basis, with parents via conferences, and communications home. Regular communication and collaboration with students, faculty and staff is expected.
  • Flexibility. Effective teachers possess the capability of being flexible in all situations. This is especially important when working with children of varied backgrounds.
  • Continuous learner. Hynes teachers are expected to engage in professional growth and development. Teachers regularly participate in school-wide and small-group meetings.
  • Management skills. Hynes teachers possess excellent classroom behavior management skills, which are aligned with our school-wide PBiS program.
  • Teamwork. Hynes faculty and staff work collaboratively with each other and families.

Salary commensurate with experience and certification.
