INTERINSTITUTIONAL AGREEMENT FOR EDUCATIONAL AND SCIENTIFIC COOPERATION BETWEEN

In order to promote international cooperation in advanced studies education for Ph. D. students in …………………………………………………………………………………………………………

THE FOLLOWING AGREEMENT FOR EDUCATIONAL AND SCIENTIFIC COOPERATION SHALL BE UNDERWRITTEN

Article 1 – Forms of cooperation

Within fields that are mutually acceptable, the following general forms of cooperation will be pursued:

1 – Exchange of teaching staff members and researchers for purposes of lectures, and seminars/symposia;

2 – Exchange of Ph. D. students for study and research.

Article 2 – Effects of the cooperation

Activities of study and research carried out by Ph. D. students while they are in the hosting University will be recognized by the sending University in accordance with the conditions provided for by its rules and by the research programs.

Article 3 –Specific forms of cooperation

Any further forms of cooperation, different from those listed in the above Article 1, will be developed jointly and will be agreed upon for each specific case.

Article 4 – Financial aspects

Both parties understand that any type of financial agreement regarding activities mentioned in Article 1 will have to be negotiated and will depend on the availability of funds.

Article 5 - Legal Liability

Both parties agree that the University of Studies of Turin and The University of………………… will be prepared to answer and defend only that responsibility and resultant legal liability, involving personal injury and property damage, which arises from their respective negligent acts or omissions which may occur in connection with this agreement.

Teachers and students involved in the herein mentioned exchange are covered with insurance which is the sending University responsibility to provide in accordance with the respective regulations.

Article 6 - Validity

This agreement shall in the first instance be valid for a term of three years and shall be automatically extended by additional terms of three years at a time, unless one or other of the participating universities undertakes in writing to withdraw from the agreement. A written declaration of withdrawal must be made no later than six months before the termination of a given three-year program.

This agreement shall be kept on file at the Research Division and International Relations of the University of Studies of Turin and at the of the University of …………………………………..

The Italian and English texts of this agreement shall be equally binding for both signing parties.
