Internship and Professional Development Program Overview
Course Hero is seeking driven, enthusiastic candidates to join our paid, part-time internship and Professional Development Program (PDP). Course Hero interns build and lead their own team of students, who help donate books to children abroad through the Knowledge Drive, Course Hero’s philanthropic partnership with Books for Africa, while developing valuable professional skills. Interns are also instrumental in building strong academic resources for their campuses by sharing materials on the Course Hero site.
Who we are:
Course Hero is an online learning platform that provides students with the course-specific content, tools and services they need in order to succeed academically.
Course Hero’s Knowledge Drive has donated 190,000+ books to the One Million Books for Gambia project to-date, and we hope to continue building a brighter future for learners around the world through this initiative and the philanthropic efforts of our interns.
What you’ll do:
- Strengthen the future of the Knowledge Drive
- Implement professional skill sets in business development, marketing, and communication
- Utilize social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) to drive visibility around what Course Hero is doing for education
- Build an academic resource that will serve students for years to come
- Provide critical feedback and insight to help us improve and expand our strong academic resource
- Engage in weekly workshops with a Course Hero manager, each of which is focused on specific professional development goals
We’re looking for:
- An interest in business, communications, technology, management, philanthropy, marketing, and/or entrepreneurship
- On-campus involvement, leadership positions are a plus
- Someone who is goal-oriented and social media savvy
- An outgoing, enthusiastic, and creative personality
- A student, currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
- Authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada without sponsorship
- Current enrollment in a Business is highly desired
- A minimum GPA of 2.5/4.0
- The ability to start within the next 2-4 weeks
Internship details:
- Duration: 8 weeks, with opportunities for extension and promotion for top interns
- Flexibility: Work as few as 5 hours each week or more, depending on your dedication and availability
- Location: This is a remote internship (Course Hero is HQed in Redwood City, Calif.)
- Compensation: This is a paid position
