Follow I-74 West to Exit 34, SR 231 South (Many hotels are near this exit.) *This road is re-named Washington Street as you drive through downtown Crawfordsville. Turn RIGHT on South Boulevard at the National Guard Armory. Bear LEFT onto Highway 47 (toward Waveland); CrawfordsvilleHigh School will be on your left in ½ mile. The AquaticCenter is located on the right hand side of the building.

Facilities: The competition course has not been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4).
Eight lane, 50-meter pool for competition, with additional space for continual warm-up and warm-down. Pool depth ranges from 7 feet to 14 feet at the start end and is 3.5 feet deep at the turn end. Colorado automatic timing system with touch pads at start and turn ends, backup buttons, and 8-lane scoreboard. Balcony seating for 500 spectators overlooks the pool. Concessions will be available. A swimmer camping area will be set up in the auxiliary gym adjacent to the pool. Swimwear and equipment sales will be provided by Kast-A-Way Swimwear.
Schedule:Friday
All ages: warm-up at 4:00 pm, meet begins at 5:15 pm.
Saturday and Sunday
11 & older Preliminaries: warm-up at 7:30 am, meet begins at 8:30 am.
11 & older Finals: warm-up will start following the conclusion of the 10 & under session but not before 4:00 pm on Saturday and 3:30 pm on Sunday, with the meet beginning one hour after the start of warm-up.
10 and under Timed Finals: warm-up begins following the conclusion of the 11 & older preliminaries but no earlier than 12:00 noon with the meet beginning one hour after the start of warm-up.
Eligibility:Swimmers must be registered with USA Swimming as either year-round or seasonal members and their current USA Swimming numbers must accompany the entry. Age as of July 15, 2011 will determine the swimmer’s age group for the entire meet.
Entry Limits:Each swimmer may enter & compete in a maximum of three (3) individual events and one (1) relay each day of the meet, except for Friday, when they may enter & compete in two individual events. Events 27 and 28 are limited to the 16 fastest times for each gender. If any session at the meet is scheduled to run over 4 hours, some events may be limited to bring the session time line to less than 4 hours. Refunds will be given to swimmers cut from events due to time limitations.
Entry Fees:Entry fees are $4.00 per individual event and $5.00 per relay team. Additionally there is a $1.50 per swimmer surcharge from Indiana Swimming. Please make checks payable to Sugar Creek Swim Club. All entry fees and surcharges must be paid prior to the start of warm-up on Friday, July 15, 2011.
Entry Format:A Team Manager Export file for Meet Manager containing all of the team’s individual and relay entries must be received by the entry deadline. Please use Long Course Meter times for entry purposes. The preferred method is for this file to be e-mailed.
The following must be submitted prior to the start of warm-up on the first day of the meet. These may be mailed or hand delivered.
- Team summary report and executed release and hold harmless agreement (included in this packet).
- Check for payment of all entry fees payable to Sugar Creek Swim Club.

Deadline:Entry must be received by Noon onMondayJuly 8, 2011. At the discretion of the entry chair, late entries may be accepted. Deck entries will be allowed if in the judgment of the meet directors they will not materially delay the meet.
PositiveThis is a POSITIVE SIGN-IN MEET. Positive sign-in means, “I’m here. I intend to
Check In: swim.” To sign in positively, please highlight the swimmer’s name on sign in sheets posted in the main hallway of the CAC. Thedeadline for positive sign-in will be 40 minutes before the start of each session. At the deadline, the sheets will be removed from the wall and no changes or corrections will be accepted. Swimmers who do not sign in will be scratched.
Clerk Eight and under swimmers (who will swim in the 10 and under events; there are no
of Course: separate 8 and under events) need to report to the Clerk of the Course to learn their
lane assignments and line up to swim the event.
For all other events, there will be no Clerk of the Course. Seeded heat sheets will be posted on deck immediately before the start of each session. It is the swimmer’s responsibility to appear at the correct starting platform ready to swim in time for the start of his/her heat.
Swimsuit Rule:EFFECTIVE (OCTOBER 1, 2009) USA Swimming Swim Suit Rule (102.9.1 B)
In swimming competitions, the competitor must wear only one swimsuit in one or two pieces except as provided in 205.10.1. All swimsuits shall be made from textile materials. For men, the swimsuit shall not extend above the navel nor below the knees, and for women, shall not cover the neck, extend past the shoulder, nor extend below the knee.
Rules:Current USA Swimming and Indiana Swimming Rules will govern this meet. Coaches MUST constantly display their USA swimming coach credential to gain deck access. The meet referee reserves the right to ask for coach credential display and/or deny deck access if coach does not comply or card is no longer valid or current.
USA Swimming Rules 202.3.2 - At a sanctioned competitive event, USA Swimming athlete members must be under the supervision of a USA Swimming member coach during warm-up, competition, and warm-down. The Meet Director or Meet Referee shall assist the athlete in making arrangements for such supervision.
“Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.”
Awards:Medals will be given for 1st through 8th place in individual events. Ribbons will also be awarded to 9th through 16th in individual events. Trophies will be awarded to the three (3) teams with the highest overall combined scores. 13 & over events will be scored separately for 13-14 and 15 and over. 10 and under events will be scored separately for 9-10 and 8 and under.
Scoring:Individual scoring: 20-17-16-15-14-13-12-11-9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1. Relays will count double the individual scoring, however only one relay per team may score.
Spectators:Per USA Swimming Rules and insurance regulations only athletes, registered coaches, certified officials volunteering to officiate and meet volunteers are allowed on the pool deck. Balcony seating for 500 spectators, parents and family members overlooks the pool. Due to limited seating SCSC requests that coolers, folding chairs and other large items not be taken into the balcony. These can be set up in the auxiliary gymnasium area.
Spectator Admission Fees: Adults - $3 per session, $7 entire meet; Children - Free of charge

Team Responsibilities:
The HOST (SCSC) will run the meet including entry chair and head table responsibilities. SCSC will also provide hospitality for coaches and officials

Release and Hold Harmless Agreement
In consideration of being permitted to participate in this swim meet, and for other good and valuable consideration, the undersigned for him/herself, his successors and assigns, hereby releases and forever discharges Sugar Creek Swim Club, its Board of Directors, Crawfordsville Aquatic Center, USA Swimming, and each of their respective officers, agents, employees, members, successors and any other persons in any way connected with this meet, from any and all liabilities, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action of whatever kind of character arising out of or in connection with said event.
