Background: This solicitation was initiated at the request of Dallas County Community College. An RFP was prepared and advertised in the Austin American Statesman on March 3rd and 10th and through the Demand Star bid service. Colleges were contacted for suggestions for local vendors. Notices were sent to vendors on the coop’s bidders list. Forty-five vendors obtained RFP packages. Nine proposals were received and opened on March 20th from:

Cutting Edge Advertising of Odessa, TX

Hightech Signs of Richardson, TX

Pamela Printing of Sugar Land, TX

El Paso Reprographics, LLC of El Paso, TX

David’s Apparel, Inc. of El Paso, TX

Fast Signs of Dallas, TX

Edu-Source Corporation of San Antonio, TX

David’s Pennants, Banner, & Graphic Designs of El Paso, TX

Jack C. Thomas & Son, Inc. of Amarillo, Texas

A Good Sign, LLC of Weatherford, TX

The proposal was reviewed and an evaluation summary prepared. The vendors recommended are determined to be qualified. It is the recommendation of Staff and DCCCD that contracts be awarded as described. The multiple awards will allow for choice at the discretion of the member.

This recommendation would make their products/services available to the cooperative members for their consideration when such a need arises. A 2% service fee will be paid to the coop.

A standard TACC Master Agreement will be executed for the term of one year with the option to renew for up to four additional one-year terms.
