Company Profile

TSD Engineering provides engineering services to yards, ship owners and ship brokers, and primarily focuses on engineering shipbuilding- and piping projects. Wiboud le Nobel B.Sc. founded TSD Engineering on June 1st 2002. The company consist of 5 full-time employees. You can rely on us to bring your Shipbuilding- and/or Mechanical Engineering orders to a succesful end. Not only do we work from our office in Rhoon, but if so required, we also work at location. Even hiring a complete engineering team, which is comprised of Calculators designers and Draughtsmen, is possible. Due to the University ("Hogeschool" in the Dutch education system) education of most of out staff, you can entrust us with your design, draughtwork and all occuring calculations. You can even leave the Project Management in our capable hands.

We use the following software: Nupas, Cadmatic, Microstation, PIAS, Fairway, Poseidon and Femap/NX Nastran.

Our Objectives


All Shipbuilding and Piping constructions are drawn with Nupas and Cadmatic 3D software; so all constructions are present in 3D. The advantage of this is that parts can be extracted instantly and so the complete Production Information is readily available. Added advantage is that in these 3D drawn sections the piping can also be drawn 3D with the Cadmatic software, which is also makes these parts available for Production Information.

If so required we can also deliver 2D drawings. For safety plans, various arrangements, conversions and so on we use our 2D drawing application Microstation.

TSD Engineering stands for quality of the design, the construction and the drawings and above all a customer friendly approach.

Employees


Wiboud le Nobel:

Founder of TSD Engineering and Naval Architect graduated in 1997 at Haarlem University and worked several years at J. de Haas Naval Architects Consultants BV. Calculates and draws shipbuilding constructions and coordinates the delivery of 3D Production Information. Education: Maritime Officer (MarOff), University (Naval Architecture).

Frank Leendertsen:

Mechanical Engineer draws and calculates P&ID's and draws piping arrangements. Also draws and calculates Shipbuilding constructions. He has many years of experience as Pipe fitter at Shipbuilding projects. Previously employed by: Structon Piping, Stami B.V. en YVC IJsselwerf as pipe fitter, pipe sketcher, and later as draftsman and Piping Engineer at the drawing office. Employed for a number of years at J. de Haas Naval Architects Consultants BV. Education: Bemetel pipe fitter, secondary school (Mechanical Engineering), University (Mechanical Engineering).

Han Willemsen:

Naval Architect graduated in 2001 at Rotterdam University and has worked for several years at J. de Haas Naval Architects Consultants BV. Calculates Shipbuilding constructions aided by PIAS and Poseidon software. Also calculates and draws Shipbuilding and Arrangements. Education: secondary school (Science) and University (Naval Architecture).

Jaap de Waard:

A shipbuilding draughtsman with many years of experience as shipbuilder at several yards. Worked as draughtsman/constructor at the drawing offices of e.g. De Groot en van Vliet, YVC IJsselwerf and Oceanco. Education: Bemetel en secondary school (Naval Architecture).

Dirk van Genderen:

A shipbuilding draughtsman with many years of experience as shipbuilder at several yards. Worked as draughtsman/constructor at the drawing offices of e.g. YVC IJsselwerf , Van der Giessen de Noord and Oceanco. Education: Bemetel en secondary school (Mechanical Engineering).
