Parent/ Guardian Code of Practice

  1. Parents accept and consent to the philosophy and methodology of the our Development Centres’ small sided syllabus and games programme including the 4 v 4, 6 v 6 and 8 v 8 etc. games formats.
  1. It is imperative that all parents remain within the parental viewing areas during training and game nights; parents are strictly prohibited to enter the marked playing area and changing room facilities, the only exception to this is if their son is involved in a medical emergency. Any unauthorised persons entering the marked playing area or changing facilities will be asked to leave the venue.
  1. PLEASE NOTE - It is strictly forbidden for parents to ‘coach’ or shout onto their children from the viewing area during training and match play, any such behaviour disrupts the optimal learning environment set out by the Development Centre. Coaches are the only authorised persons allowed to deliver technical or tactical advice during a Centre session or game. Any unauthorised persons displaying this behaviour will be first warned and upon the next instance will be asked to leave the venue. It should be noted that gentle encouragement and praise are positively encouraged at all times.
  1. Parents are required to conduct themselves in a civil manner at all times during a Development Centre session, any grievances or complaints must be taken up with the respective Head of Centre only.
  1. Aggressive actions with intent and/or the use of foul, abusive or racist languageis strictly prohibited at all Cardiff City Football Club venues.Any person found using this type of language/actions will be asked to leave the venue. Based on circumstances, both parent and player may be permanently expelled from the CCFC Development system and the matter may be reported to the appropriate governing Football bodies and/or the Police.
  1. Alcoholic beverages of any description are strictly prohibited form all Cardiff City Football Club FITC & Development Centre venues.
  1. Cardiff City Football club forbids the use of still and video cameras other than official club photographers authorised by Cardiff City Football Club at any of our Development Centres. We have taken this measure to protect players by following child protection and welfare guidelines.

We acknowledge receipt of the Cardiff City Football Club Development Centre Parent/ Guardian Code of Practice (it is our responsibility to ensure we retain a record of this document). We accept and understand the terms and conditions as detailed in the above document. I am willing to allow my son to take part in a full programme of activities including games and training and I understand that during the games and coaching my son will be in your charge, under guidance from coaches responsible for the period in question. In the event of my son being taken ill or injured including the time spent with C.C.F.C. I will ensure that his coach is informed.

In the event of my son being injured or taken ill, I agree that a member of Cardiff City FC staff may accompany my son to hospital if admission and/or further treatment is required.

I confirm that I have read all of the information provided above and hereby give my consent to all of the above.

PLEASE NOTE THIS SIGNED AGREEMENT IS VALID ONGOING UNTIL YOU PERMANENTLY LEAVE THE CCN AND/OR CCFC DEVELOPMENT SYSTEM.
