BIRDING ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY

Hawthorn Suites is adjacent to the Green River Natural Resource Area (aka Kent Ponds). We will offer a birding field trip to the area on Sunday morning, March 21, led by Matt Knox. The GRNRA is one of the largest man-made, multi-use wildlife refuges in the United States. Rainier Audubon participates in a monthly bird survey of GNRA. SUNDAY
Charlie Wright will lead a field trip on Sunday morning, focusing on Birds Along Puget Sound Waterways.
Carol Schulz will lead a trip along Hylebos Creek, which winds from Federal Way all the way down to Commencement Bay in Tacoma.
Adele Freeland will take us to see the birds and wildlife at Shadow Lake Bog, a unique 90+ acre restored peat bog in Renton.
