Emory Catering—Servers (10- O/C, 5- PT, 2- FT)- Rates start at $10.30/ hr

Brief Position Summary: Carry a serving tray of 8-10 plated meals

·  Basic knowledge of setting tables, folding napkins, serving plated meals and setting buffets. Set-Up and Break Down of assigned events.

·  Interact with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.

·  Take direction from Director of Catering, Catering Managers, Catering Sales Manager and Catering Supervisors. Ensure that all events begin at the scheduled time with no exceptions.

·  Licensed to drive a van and truck to make deliveries to locations off site.

·  Clean and organize catering equipment after every event. Create catering pulls for events occurring the following day.

·  A successful applicant will be a self-starter capable of making decisions that best reflect the Catering Department’s Mission. This person will understand the importance of “Total Guest Satisfaction” and strive to guarantee every customer the best experience when they work with Emory Catering.

·  Applicants must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes… evenings, weekends, and some holiday shifts.

·  Clean/ sanitize work stations and equipment must follow all Sodexo, client and regulatory rules and procedures.

·  Complete any reasonable task as directed by management.

Emory Catering—Supervisor I (1- FT Flex)- Rate starts at $11.85/ hr

Brief Position Summary: Oversees catered events from beginning to end of event.

·  Works alongside of catering manager for details on event. Reports to the Catering Manager and General Manager.

·  Meets and Exceeds customer expectations for each and every event or delivery

·  Oversees servers, set up and utility staff daily.

·  Ensures any catered events are set up properly and in a timely manner for the start of the event.

·  Enforces HACCP Guidelines:

·  Hot food hot, cold food cold, cutting & rubber gloves,

·  Hats in kitchen, hand washing, etc…

·  Trains staff in proper service and set up procedures

·  Assists with employee appraisals for staff. Excellent customer service skills.

·  Serv/Safe Certified. Attend Front Line Leadership.

·  Completes pull sheets for any events assigned. Gives a copy of pull sheets to catering manager(s) and transportation at least 2 days prior to event.

·  Reports prepared to work on time in proper attire. Reads posted schedules to ensure staffing needs.

·  Supervises staff to ensure on time delivery, quality set up and service of event.

·  Holds staff meetings before the event explaining event details and specific job tasks.

·  Treats staff, clients, and management with respect and common courtesy.

·  Contacts client before and after event to ensure acceptability of event.

·  Informs catering office of additional guests that may have attended an event to ensure proper billing.

·  Ensures catered events are set up according to Gold Standards.

·  Ensures cleanliness of pantry kitchen and all facilities where catering has occurred.

·  Assists staff in set up of buffet items if necessary.

·  Ensures food quality & presentation. Assists staff replenish buffet items when necessary.

·  Maintains schedules and minimal or no overtime by reviewing daily punches of staff

·  Ensures staff has punched in for shift, out & in for 30 min. lunch break, and out at end of shift.

·  Assists staff in maintaining organization in kitchen and dining room areas.

·  Maintains employee information boards.

·  Schedules staff & attends all monthly safety meetings.

·  Schedules staff for cleaning responsibilities and ensures tasks are completed.

·  Maintains stock of linen is clean and organized. Plans ahead for equipment needs for catered events to reduce last minute rental orders.

·  Ability to load, and secure food & equipment in trucks.

·  Must adhere to any reasonable task required by management to be completed.

Emory Catering—Sales Associate (2-FT Flex)- Rates start at $14/ hr

Emory Catering is seeking enthusiastic individuals for positions in sales and event planning. Previous experience in the campus catering, catering or event planning industry is a must.
Brief Position Summary:

·  Prepare catering proposals for both social and university events with creative advice on both menu and décor.

·  Build a positive relationship with University contacts
Ability to effectively communicate all event information with Executive Chef, Operations Managers, and service staff to ensure a successful event.

·  Input information into current system for catered events.

·  Interact with customers on the phones, take phone orders and phone changes to events.

·  Interact with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.

·  Take direction from Director of Catering, Catering Managers, and Catering Sales Manager.

·  Check Catering Web Mail and respond to all e-mails in a time sensitive manner.

·  Produce Daily Billing and provide to controller’s office for invoicing.

·  Assist with Catered events when called upon to do so(i.e. set and delivery)

·  A successful applicant will be a self-starter capable of making decisions that best reflect the Catering Department’s Mission. This person will understand the importance of “Total Guest Satisfaction” and strive to guarantee every customer the best experience when they work with Emory Catering.

·  Applicants must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes… evening, weekend, and some holiday shifts. Prior food service experience or catering sales experience is required.

·  Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein and any other reasonable request made by management.
