Description:

Internship & Service Learning Programmes:

·  Jointly-responsible for the organization and development of the IES London Internship and Service Learning Programmes, working within the guidelines and provisions of the IES MAP

·  Responsible for the management and placement of all interns to include corresponding and meeting with students regularly during the interview process and throughout the term, confirming internships and start dates, keeping in contact with all internship hosts, and to provide an evaluation at the end of the term. This applies equally to service learning placements.

·  Liaise with IES London and IES Chicago staff in connection with the internship application process, particularly enrolment management

·  Oversee the provision of all pre-departure advice and information

·  Respond to student/IES recruiter queries and questions

·  Oversee the completion and provision of all necessary documentation.

·  Be well informed regarding Government legislation, regulations and advice on students studying in the UK, permission to work, visas and entry clearance

·  Assist with the management of Internship Orientation and provide interns with all internship interview information and documentation

·  Develop new internship areas and opportunities, especially in the social services, business, and financial sectors

·  Promote the IES Internship Programme through company visits and maintaining good relations with partners, as well as networking with prospective partners

·  Assist with the data management of the Internship Programme

UKBA & Immigration Law Responsibilities:

·  Level 1 user for UKBA SMS system

·  Liaise with BUNAC regarding Tier 5 visas for Summer Intern students

·  Enforce the IES Abroad London Attendance and Lateness Policy

·  Enforce the IES Abroad London Course Credit Policy

·  Enforce the IES Abroad London Academic Standing Policy

·  Enforce the IES Abroad London Program Arrival Procedure (specifically part vi)
